With Valentines Day fast approaching, many people are looking to purchase flowers for their significant other. Of course, sending someone special flowers is something that people do year round. You also don’t need a holiday or special occasion to send flowers. Personally, I love it when my husband sends me flowers randomly, or comes home from the grocery store with one of those inexpensive bouquets.
I love how flowers add a pop of color to any room, as well as brings “joy” whenever you look at them. It’s hard not to feel even the slightest bit of happiness when looking at a beautiful floral arrangement or bouquet. For that reason I make sure to have a few “faix” bouquets and arrangements on hand to decorate my home. I try and rotate them too. Of course, REAL flowers are always best.
There is an e-commerce site that recently launched the sells beautiful flowers directly to consumers across the United States. There is no middle man involved – meaning you don’t have to rely on a local florist to purchase flowers from. And because there is no competition or inflated prices, you, the consumer, get better pricing.
The company is called Flower Republic. They are a family brand that has been growing and selling flowers in Ecuador for the past 20+ years.
I know what you must be thinking… Ecuador! Why would you want to purchase flowers from Ecuador? That is so far away.
Flower Republic can have flowers delivered to any U.S. address, via FedEx or UPS, within four (4) days.
Flower Republic wanted me to try out their flowers and service, so they sent me a bundle of beautiful roses.
The flowers arrived within days, which I was impressed by. Even more impressive was that the flowers arrived safe and sound. There was no damage to the flowers at all. They were packaged nicely so as to protect the flowers from transit.
The flowers were a bit “thirsty” after their long journey. As soon as they arrived I removed them from the package, trimmed the ends of the stems, and placed them in two vases filled with water (there were so many flowers that I needed two vases to keep them in).
The next day the flowers were “perked up” and looking great. All they needed was a drink.
The flowers lasted for a decent amount of time. The one thing I dislike about flowers is that they never last more than a few days, especially the ones you buy for Valentine’s Day. These roses lasted about a week, which was a pleasant surprise.
Price wise, Flower Republic flowers are a great deal. For example, 75 roses (yes, SEVENTY FIVE) are only $62.99. Where else can you get that many flowers for that price? Even a dozen roses around where I live will set you back about $40 (and that is only for 12 roses).
The flowers I received came in a cardboard box. There is an option to have the flowers delivered in a wooden box, which could be re-purposed or kept as a keepsake.
If you are interested in learning more about Flower Republic, to place an order, or even learn about their subcription service (an interesting concept), visit FlowerRepublic.shop. Notice that it’s .shop and NOT .com.
The brand can also be found on social media. All of their links are found on their website.
