I find it sad that people don’t send physical mail much anymore. When was the last time you received a handwritten letter? I know people in their 20’s who don’t even know how to write out an envelope. Everything is done by email these days.
Sadly, cards are going in the same direction too. People often send emails or text messages to wish someone a happy birthday, happy anniversary or happy holidays. Personally I would much rather have a card. I feel like sending a card shows the recipient that you put thought into what you sent them instead of sending a .GIF or meme in a text or email.
Have you ever seen the pop-up cards available from the brand FreshCut Paper? These are cards that will not only bring a huge smile to the face of the person you send it to, but it’s also something they’ll want to not only keep but also happily display in their home.

I received to review their Haunted House card. This card pops up to be a large display piece.
The card arrived in an envelope. There is a spot on the envelope for you to address it to the recipient. Just fill out the included smaller card, put it back in the envelope, then take it to your local post office for postage and send it on it’s merry way.
In addition to the smaller card for you to personalize, the Haunted House card also comes with a Scavenger Hunt card.
Once popped up, this what the Haunted House card looks like.
It makes a great holiday display piece. You can put it on your dining room table, mantle, bedside table, or just about anywhere else you’d like to add some Halloween decor.
In addition to the Haunted House card, which is on the large side, FreshCut Paper also offers a Mini Halloween Cat pop-up card.
This card also comes with a smaller card for you to personalize to the recipient.
The Mini Halloween Cat pop-up card is an adorable 3-D cat all dressed up for Halloween. It’s great for animal lovers, cat lovers, children or people who appreciate cuteness like I do.
The 3-D card even has a tail! Clearly the brand put a lot of thought into the cards they design.
The brand has other Halloween cards to choose from as well.
Other holidays have pop-up cards too, including Christmas.
One card I was especially interested in seeing is their Dachshund card. My father and step-mother have always owned Dachshunds, and I really wanted to send them one of these cards. Sadly, my father passed away in May. My step-mother is now in an assisted living facility. I still want to send her one of the Dachshund cards this year. I think she would love it.
FreshCut Paper has other dog breeds available. They also have various cats as well.
The pet cards come with accessories you can use to dress the cards up including hats, glasses, flowers, scarves and much more. Other accessory packs are also available so you can dress up the “pet card” year round.
The adorable Dachshund card I received also has a matching card to personalize. The artwork on the FreshCut Paper cards is so beautiful. Even those cards are worth keeping.

The accessories are easy to put on and take off. They just slide on the head or under the chin. You can swap them out anytime, or remove the accessories entirely.
Check out the other animal cards. They are so cute! The accessories can be mixed and matched with other per cards too.
FreshCut Paper also sent me to check out their stunning Hummingbird Oasis card. This is another large size card that would make a great centerpiece. Not only is this a 3-D card, but there are also additional hummingbirds that you can pull out and bend their wings to make it look like they are actually flying around the bouquet of flowers.
My photos do not do this gorgeous card justice. The colors are more vibrant in person and it looks truly amazing.
FreshCut Paper cards are almost like a gift that keeps on giving. It’s a “gift” to receive a card in the mail, but the cards themselves can be enjoyed year round.
There are so many more card available from the brand. I encourage you to check out their website to see what other cards they have available. They are budget friendly too! Considering a regular card these days cost upwards of $5-$6, these cards which you can keep and enjoy year round, are worth every penny. The Hummingbird Oasis once I featured above is $15. The Dachshund is $12.95. How amazing is that.
