Are you still looking for the perfect gift for someone on your holiday shopping list?
Sometimes it’s difficult to find the ideal gift for that special someone. I find that shopping for children is a lot easier than shopping for adults.
There is a brand called Little Hometown that carries a variety of great gifts for the holiday season, as well as year round. They carry a lot of baby items, but they also have products for adults too.
Little Hometown sells bibs, swaddling blankets, adult blankets and pajamas with state themed designs on them. These products are not only great to show off your state pride, but they are also idea for people who have moved from one state to another and would like something to remind them of where they used to live.
My son would be a great example. He was in the process of moving from New York to Texas. I was purchasing him products that said New York on them so that he always had something to remind him where he came from. THANKFULLY he opted not to move. I’m glad because Texas is too far away.
Little Hometown was kind enough to send me one of their adult sized blankets to check out for myself. I was sent to review their adult New York City throw blanket.
This blanket is a huge 60″ x 80″ in size. There is plenty of room for two or more people to snuggle up with on the couch, or use it on your bed.
The blanket features an array of images synonymous with New York City including a taxi cab, bagel (or a donut.. I’m leaning more towards a donut), apple, Statue of Liberty, dinosaur (for the American Museum of Natural History) and more.

This blanket is SO SOFT and it’s PERFECT for a chilly winter night.
The blanket is made with;
- Premium Silky Smooth mink front with regional, city, state designs; Premium Fluffy Sherpa neutral back side
- Material: 100% Polyester.
The designs are on the front, the part with the silky feel to it. The Sherpa is on the back of it. You can use this blanket with either side out, but you’d want the Sherpa closer to your skin.
I have other soft and fuzzy blankets, but the leave that fuzz EVERY WHERE. The other day I used one of them because I wasn’t feeling well and I wanted to take a “cat nap” before work. The blanket left white fuzz all over my black leggings. Ugh! Lesson learned. Now I ONLY grab for the Little Hometown blanket. No fuzz!
This blanket feels lightweight, but don’t let that fool you. This blanket will keep you warm.
Little Hometown has designs that are not necessarily specific to certain states either. They have a nice assortment of designs to choose from.
You can wash this at home. You have machine wash separately in cold water; Tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron or press with heat; Do not dry clean. With eight cats who also appreciate this blanket it’s great to know that I can clean it without having to bring it to the dry cleaners.
