Fun, Trendy, Affordable Fashion from Simply Be (including plus sizes!)

Me and Atticus Shaffer who plays “Brick” on the ABC series The Middle.

I am a “plus size” woman. I have been overweight my entire life (starting when I was a toddler). My weight has gone up and down all my life, but I have never really been an “average” size.

I was losing a lot of weight over the past year (over 40+ pounds!) but it turned out one of my medications wasn’t working efficiently. As soon as my doctor put me on a different medication I gained back 12 pound. Ugh!

Buying clothes has always been an issue for me. I LOVE to wear cute, colorful and trendy clothing. Sadly, most plus size women’s clothing lacks style, is frumpy looking or costs an “arm and a leg.”

Seriously… why does trendy plus size fashion have to be so expensive? My average sized daughter can walk in the store and spend $15 on a super cute top. I walk into a store that sells plus size fashions and I see price tags for $75 for a top that really isn’t all that special.

Whenever I come across a place that sells plus size fashions for reasonable prices I have that site bookmarked on my computer. Such is the case with Simply Be.

Simply Be sells plus size fashions from sizes 8-28 (not that I think size 8 should be considered a “plus size”).

Simply Be has it all – tops, bottoms, dresses, footwear, intimates, accessories, swimsuits and so much more. Their clothing is trendy, beautiful and stylish. You won’t find any “frumpy” pieces that your old aunt would wear.

Here are just a few examples of pieces currently available at Simply Be.

They even offer awesome plus size jeans, leggings and other “bottoms.” I’m a petite person and they even have jeans to fit people my height.

Simply Be was kind enough to let me pick out a few pieces to review. Let me tell you, it was a hard thing to do. There were so many wonderful pieces that I wanted to add to my wardrobe. I literally agonized over my choices. In the end I think I made the right decisions. I love all the pieces I was sent to review. The only downside is that the pieces I selected are mostly for the cooler temperatures, so I haven’t been able to wear them yet – except one. I have tried them all on.

This is a nice top. It’s very comfortable to wear. It can be casual or dressy – one of those types of clothing that you can wear to work then out on the town at night. It has an irregular hemline (I think it’s referred to as a “shark bite” or something like that). The best part is that this top came with another top (you received two tops for the price of one). The other top is exactly like this one, except it’s all black.

This top is very comfy. I’m looking forward to lounging around my home in this cute top, or running around town doing errands. I especially love how the sides lace up.

This is a great top for work or for a night out with friends. It looks like it’s two pieces, but it’s really just one. The top also features a plastic “ring” to the side to make the top appear like a wrap around top (even though it’s all one attached piece).

This top didn’t photograph well (it kept sliding off the hanger).

This pretty top is lightweight and very sheer. You MUST wear something under it. I have worn this with a white undershirt/tank top underneath.

The top if very “flowy” and features a neckline that ties up. It’s very pretty and super comfortable to wear.

I feel like all of the tops I was sent to review are very well made. They don’t feel “cheap” in any way. And from what I can tell the stitching is perfect too (no “irregulars”).

As you can see, Simply Be provides plus size ladies with beautiful, affordable, stylish and trendy fashions. I have found my new “go to” place for future attire needs.
