Valentines Day is around the corner. Sigh… it seems like just yesterday we were putting out our Halloween decorations. Soon it will be Valentines Day, followed by Easter, Summer and Halloween all over again. Time flies too quickly these days.
Valentines Day, so it would seem, is geared more towards women. After all, the sale of flowers, especially roses, is high around this holiday. In addition, there are a lot of boxes of chocolate also sold.
Men do appreciate flowers (my husband does), and they can certainly enjoy a box of chocolates, but they don’t seem like “manly” gifts. Thankfully, my husband is happy with a card and chocolates.
If you are looking to gift that special man in your life something unique for Valentines Day, I have the perfect gift idea for you – a beef jerky “bouquet” from the Manly Man Co.
Yes… you read that correctly – a beef jerky BOUQUET!
The Manly Man Co. takes beef jerky and turns it into a “flower.” Next they take several of these “flowers” and arrange them in a reusable glass to resemble a “floral bouquet.”
Here are some photos from the Manly Man Co. website to give you a better understanding as to what I am talking about when I say “bouquet.”
As you can see… these are literally “floral bouquets” made out of beef jerky.
The bouquets are available in different sizes and in different vessels such as a beer mug or a regular drinking glass.
I received one of these really unique bouquets to check out for myself, as well as to see how my husband and son reacted to it.
The bouquet comes already assembled and ready to enjoy. All you need to do is remove it from the packaging, as well as the plastic wrap that protects the beef jerky.
The bouquet is packaged very nicely. It arrived in perfect condition, despite being knocked around during transit. I also like that it was easy to remove from the box. There were no annoying zip ties to deal with.
The “stems” of the flowers are made out of beef jerky “sticks,” similar to that popular beef jerky brand that you can find near the cashier in many stores (I won’t mention the name, but I’m sure most people know who I am referring to. More on that later).
The stems go into a plastic piece that helps the bouquet to keep it’s shape.
On top of the plastic piece, the beef jerky sticks some to a rounded end to give them the appearance of the bulbous part that is found in the center of a flower.
Surrounding the top of the beef jerky stick is more jerky that has been cut to resemble petals. Once assembled, the whole thing looks just like a flower (bouquet). What a fun idea! Kudos the the person or people who thought up this idea.
You might have noticed that the “petals” look a little different from one another. That is because there are different flavors of beef jerky in this bouquet that I received.
The bouquets are available in original flavor, teriyaki, hot or you can get the bouquets with a mixture of all three types. I received a mixture.
My husband doesn’t eat jerky that often. He does on occasion, as does my son. Let me tell you – this bouquet was DEVOURED in less than a week! No kidding!
Our son (he’s a young adult) took one of the “flowers” the same day I received the bouquet and he was instantly hooked. So much so that between him and my husband, I never had the chance to try even one piece! I have to rely on their opinions to let you know how the jerky tasted.
Both my husband and my son agree that the teriyaki is their favorite flavor, followed by the original. My husband thought the hot was a bit too hot for his taste, where as my son didn’t think it was hot enough.
Both agreed that this jerky tasted really fresh. While it did have the same appeal as the kind you find by the cashiers, both my husband and my son said the beef jerky from the Manly Man Co. was much better. Given the choice between the two, hands down they would pick the jerky from the Manly Man Co.

Bacon “Roses” are also available from the Manly Man Co.
They must have liked it if it was gone in a week. Right there speaks volumes about the quality of the beef jerky from the Manly Man Co.

What do you think about the idea of gifting (or receiving) a “bouquet” made out of beef jerky? Feel free to comment and share your thoughts.
