Our cat Kitty enjoying our Bobby Bed.
There is a lot that can be said about the pandemic. I’m sure many people (myself included) have a lot of negative things to say about the current state of the world, such as having to wear masks all the time, not being able to hang out with family and friends, and the loss of employment. But not all results on the pandemic are bad.
Did you know that the pandemic caused a increase in pet adoptions? As a pet “mom” and pet lover, I think this is wonderful, encouraging news. It warms my heart knowing the shelter animals are finding their “forever homes.”
Many people, and families, opted to adopt a pet to keep them company during a time in our lives that is keeping us away from other people, as well as causing us to find things to do around our home to entertain ourselves. Let’s face it, there is nothing more entertaining than a pet. I know that our cats have me laughing throughout the day (our one cat, Emma, is such a clown!).
Having a pet to love and care for also gives us a sense of purpose. Having a pet also makes us feel less lonely.
Pet lovers want to do everything they can to ensure that their pet is happy and healthy. Some pets (like mine) are spoiled too. I think our cats have more toys and pet beds than they’ll ever need, but that is OK with me. As long as they have a comfy place to sleep, and plenty of fun things to play with when no one is at home, I don’t mind spoiling them. They deserve it.
I think it’s important that your pet have a comfortable place to sleep. Some of our cats prefer “people beds,” but they know they can not sleep on them all the time. For that reason I make sure our cats have snuggly beds of their own.
If you are in the market for a pet bed for your pet, you might want to consider the brand Bobby Bed.
Bobby Bed cares about your dog (and cat). They supply the “world’s most comfy anti-anxiety and orthopedic beds for your best friend.
Bobby Bed was kind enough to send our cats a new bed to review. They sent me one of their super fuzzy and soft Calming Donut beds.
The bed does resemble a donut. It’s round with a sunken center and high sides.
When the bed first arrived, I’m not kidding when I say I wish I could have crawled up in a little ball and slept in it. It’s super soft and feels so nice to the touch. They should make beds for people too!
According to the brand, their calming bed;
- Reduces stress & anxiety calming bed!
- Shag fabric mimics soothing comfort of mothers fur.
- Easy to clean machine washable covers.
- Anti-bacterial, mold & dust mite resistant.
- Built to last, never looses shape.
- No assembly required, simply unbox & enjoy.
We do have a similar bed (not as fuzzy and soft) that one of our cats has slept in so much that it’s lost it’s shape. It’s smashed down on one side. No matter how we try and “fluff” it back up, it doesn’t work. It just goes back to being misshapen. Because of that our other cats won’t sleep on it.
Below is the OLD bed. It’s hard to make out from the photo, but the front of the bed is flat compared to the back of the bed. It also used to be round, but not it’s shaped more like an oval.
Admittedly it took a couple of weeks before our cats would sleep in the Bobby Bed. I honestly don’t know why. But once one of our cats slept in it, now they all want to sleep in it. I’ve actually seen two of our cat fighting to sleep in the Bobby Bed! Needless to say I need to get a few more of them.
Below is the Bobby Bed with our cat Padmé is enjoying it at this moment in time. Our cat Kitty is in another bed next to her. The moment Padmé gets up from the Bobby Bed, Kitty will hop into it.
The Bobby Bed is not only super comfy, it also provides orthopedic support. Seeing as how three of our cats are getting up there in age (Padmé is 16, Kitty is approaching 20), they need that extra support.
Our calming pet bed designed by therapists acts as a safe haven for your dog or cat. With ultra-soft and comforting shag fabric, designed to mimic the soft fur of mom. 9” raised walls provide orthopedic support for the head and neck.
Super soft filling offers joint & muscle relief, whilst creating deep crevices that allow your pet to burrow and have a deep restful night’s sleep. Improving your pet’s overall behavior & health.
This bed is ideal for timid or shelter rescued pets, or just those pets in need of some pampering.
I love that this bed is not only comfy, but it also provides support and offers pets a sense of “safety.” As a mom to all adopted shelter pets, I know how important that sense of safety can be. Our more recent adopted cat, Callie, is still struggling with trust issues. She’s blind, but she was also severely abused. If any of our cats could use the Bobby Bed the most, it would be her. Sadly our other cats won’t share the bed with her, and since she cannot see, she’s afraid to get into the bed because she’s worried someone might come at her in order to get her out of the bed.
Above is Padmé and our youngest cat, Loca, sharing the Bobby Bed. Now you see why I need to order a few more Bobby Beds?
Bobby Bed also offers other pet beds. They mostly have photos of dogs enjoying Bobby Beds, but they are just as wonderful for cats (as you can see from my photo). We have a medium size bed, but they do offer a smaller size, as well as large sizes for large dogs.
If you are interested in learning more about Bobby Bed, visit their website, BobbyBed.com.
The brand can also be found on social media. Their links are found on the bottom right of their website. In addition, the brand also donates to charity. I’m happy to support and promote any brand that cares about animals and donates to animal charities.
