I love reviewing beauty products. It’s a fun way to learn about products and brands that I might not otherwise get to know about.
I’m really into things like bath and body products, more so make up (although I do like skin care products for my face).
I recently learned about a terrific brand that makes bath and body products that you can feel good about using. The brand is Buck Naked Soaps. The name is funny. I like that.
Buck Naked Soap Company is an all natural, vegan handcrafted luxury beauty brand. Through our small batch operation, they make high quality, handcrafted, vegan, cold process natural soap and bath products. Using only the best in naturally occurring ingredients, they craft each product with care and control.
Soaps are not the only things they make. They have other products like bath bombs, sugar scrubs, lotion and hair care products, to name a few.
I was given the opportunity to try out some of their products. I received to review their Coffee Start Up Soap and Coffee Start Up Dead Sea Salt Soak.
I love coffee. When I saw that they had a soap made out of coffee, I just had to give it a try.
This is a handcrafted soap, so it doesn’t look like the mass produced bars you get in the grocery store. These soaps are larger and have a unique shape to them.
I didn’t take a photo of the Coffee Start Up Soap before using it. I actually used it the evening of the same day I received it. I needed a shower (I was freezing cold and wanted to hop in a warm shower). After using it, it didn’t look the same (obviously… I had used it).
The soap had what appeared to be grounded coffee on top, as well as inside the soap. The soap has an exfoliating element to it. You can feel that there is something in the soap that is smoothing away dead skin cells every time you use it.
I was hoping that this soap had a strong coffee scent to it. It does smell like coffee, but only faintly.
Here is some additional information about the soap.
Invigorating | Energetic | Antioxidants
With all the elements of an artisan coffee, you will crave the moisturizing effects of this soap as it helps start your day. The ingredients help soothe dry, irritated skin often associated with eczema and minimize the look of fine lines. Ideal for normal, dry or mature skin.
I do have eczema, which is another reason why I really wanted to try this soap.
Each of Buck Naked’s soaps have something special that they are good for. The Coffee Start Up Soap’s benefits are listed above. Others include;
- Oatmeal & Almond – Nature’s best combination, oats and almond milk, exfoliates and softens the look of dry and itchy skin. With a high level of antioxidants and essential fatty acids, this soap helps refresh skin’s radiance and aids in hydration.
- Canadian Balsam Fir + Lavender – This soap recalls the authentic smell of the freshly cut fir tree and lavender field! Complete with Canadian Balsam Fir and Lavender essential oils, the scent is bold, woody and invigorating yet comforting. Formulated with pure coconut oil for a rich lather, and olive oil for an amazing softness, this bar cleanses without drying out.
- CocoRosa + Moroccan Clay Soap – Pamper yourself with Moroccan red clay! This versatile cleansing agent improves the look of dry skin while removing excess oil. It is also known to help improve skin’s elasticity, firmness and texture. With the addition of coconut milk, your lavish bathing experience is complete. Ideal for all skin types.
These are just a few examples.
I have reviewed handcrafted soap in the past. I think Buck Naked’s prices are decent, especially considering the large size soap. I have been using mine for a few weeks now, and I still have some left. The bars seem to last a long time.
I also received the Coffee Start Up Dead Sea Salt Soak product. I have not used this product yet. I don’t like soaking in our tub (long story). It’s been years since I took a bath. For that reason, I have not tried out the soak yet, but I do plan on using it eventually.
I think that Buck Naked has a lot of interesting products to offer both women and men (they carry a lot of men’s products, especially for beards). I also think that these products would make great gifts or stocking stuffers.
