How are coming along with your holiday shopping? Are you done yet? Do you still have more gifts to buy?
Sometimes it’s hard to find the perfect gift. When in doubt many people (myself included) will fall back on things like gift cards.
When purchasing gifts I always look for something that would fall under one (or more) of these categories.
- Is it practical?
- Is it unique?
- Is it fun?
- Is it something they need?
- Is it something they want?
If something can fall into one or more of these categories I would consider giving it as a gift.
One thing that most people probably won’t think of it giving a loved one the gift of pain relief. Yes… you read that correctly – pain relief.
We all experience aches and pains. It’s a part of life. Sadly, for some people aches and pains are a way of life.
Personally I experience pain. I have Carpal Tunnel so I find that my hands and wrists hurt a lot. I also suffer from occasional pains in my knees, shoulders and lower back.
My husband and I sleep on a sofa bed. If you have never slept on a sofa bed you know how incredibly uncomfortable they are. Having that bar sticking into your back all night long can also cause pain.
My husband also does a lot of heavy lifting and carrying at work. Some days he’s fine, other days he feels the pain.
When you are searching for the perfect gift, and the recipient is someone who experiences pain from time to time (or even chronic pain), consider the gift of pain relief with a Deluxe TENS Unit Electronic Pulse Massager from TruMedic.
I have to admit that I had no clue what an electric pulse massager was until I was sent one to review. In fact, it’s kind of scary looking when you first lay eyes on it.
The sticky pads that you put on your body remind me of the ones the doctor uses when giving you an EKG. I guess in a way they are, except these pads can be reused if you take care of them (replacement pads are available).
The pads are meant to go on the areas of your body where you feel pain (back, shoulder, hand, foot, leg or a joint). The device knows what kind of pulse to send to the specific area. There is also the option to increase or decrease the pulse to suit your individual needs. I would suggest start low and work your way up.
I was a bit weary about trying this for the first time. I honestly thought it was going to send an electric shock.
The sensation you receive it sort of hard to describe. It’s a pulse-like sensation. It can even make your skin twitch a bit. But it doesn’t hurt like I was worried that it might. YOU are in total control of the device so you can set it to whatever level feels bet for you. That is why I suggested that you start at a low level and gradually increase it to a level that feels most comfortable to you.
You leave the pads and device on the area you feel pain for 20 minutes up to 2 hours. I think the most I have done is about a half hour or so (I never thought to time it). Use it until you think the pain has dissipated or you are feeling better.
Set up is a breeze because there is nothing to really set up. There is no complicated set up instructions, no app you have to download – nothing. Just charge the unit (it’s rechargeable), plug in the pads, place the pads on the area you need pain relief and you are ready to go.
I appreciate that it’s easy to set up and use. Personally I have a hard enough time struggling to remove a cold pill from its casing – let alone having to set up a complicated device. This device is super easy to use. Even an elderly person who is not into today’s technology would have no problem using the Deluxe TENS Unit Electronic Pulse Massager from TruMedic.
I don’t suffer from chronic pain (I do have Carpal Tunnel but that is manageable). I do however suffer from occasional aches and pains from age, lifting/carrying heavy items, being on my feet all day or from just having to sleep on a sofa bed every night (it’s hard on your back and shoulders). I feel like the TENS Unit does help reduce and/or totally relief the occasional pain that I get.
In the past I would take a pain reliever such as Advil or Tylenol to help with pain. They usually take about 30 minute or so before they kick in. In that same amount of time I can find relief using the TENS Unit and I don’t have to put any mediation into my body.
The TENS Unit is small and portable and you can take it with you where ever you go. You can even use it at work if you need to. It’s ideal for traveling too.
The Deluxe TENS Unit Electronic Pulse Massager from TruMedic might seem like an odd gift idea, but it’s not if you have a love one who suffers from pain. This is a practical gift they will put to good use and no doubt be very grateful to you for it.
