Have you started sending out your holiday cards yet? I haven’t. I am very far behind. I have my cards, plenty of stamps and even some bookmarks to put inside the cards and fun stickers to decorate the envelopes. I’m just waiting on my return address labels. I ordered them from a seller on Etsy about three weeks ago and I have yet to receive them. Sigh…

When it come to purchasing holiday cards I tend to go for either cute and funny ones, or classic images. This year I went with classic (retro) images on the cards. They look like cards you would have sent out back in the 1950’s (I love retro holiday decorations). These cards go out to my friends and co-workers. When it comes to my family, I always purchase different cards for them. I send them the very special cards.

In fact, these cards are so unique and special that I have no doubt they will display the cards year after year.

I reviewed Freshcut Paper almost two years ago. I still have the cards to this day. Currently they are packed away (they are with my Easter/spring decorations). They are so beautiful. These are cards you won’t throw away.

Freshcut Paper cards look just like real bouquets of flowers, right down to the water in the vases.

The cards arrive flat in a large envelope. The envelope is ready to ship. All you need is to add the to/from addresses. Off hand I cannot quote on the postage fee. You have to take it to your local post office.

These are more than just a card – they are a card and a gift rolled into one.

Freshcut Paper has Christmas cards available in bouquets, trees, wreaths and even mini-sized 3-D cards.

The brand was kind enough to send me a couple to check out for myself. I received a wreath and a beautiful advent calendar.

Winter Joy Wreath

I was very curious to see how Freshcut Paper could make an actual wreath you could hang on your wall or an inside door. It looked large in the photo on the brand’s website.

The wreath comes in a large envelope that is beautifully designed. I love the poinsettia flowers all over it.

In the above photo you can see the spot where you can write the to/from addresses.

Inside you’ll find the wreath. It’s flat, but as soon as you open it up you’ll see that it’s a 3-D wreath. Because it’s shipped flat you have to “fluff it up,” so to speak, meaning you might want to gently bend a few of the pieces to bring out the spectacular 3-D effect.

My photos do NOT do this justice. It’s hard to tell how lovely this looks in a photo. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate it’s beauty.

The card is made from a great quality, glossy paper. It’s very sturdy.

I think this card would be PERFECT for a shut-in or someone in a nursing home. They can have the wreath hung on their door or wall. Since it’s paper it can’t be hung outside UNLESS you don’t have to worry about the elements, and it’s secured properly (to protect from the wind blowing it away).

I didn’t think to measure it when it’s opened up. This image from the brand’s website should give you an idea of it’s size.

You can’t get anymore classic than a holiday wreath for Christmas.

The wreath, envelope and a card (the one pictured above) is only $20. That is not a bad price at all.

I forgot to mention that the Freshcut Paper cards come with a separate card you can write your message on, that way you don’t have to write on the 3-D card.

Woodland Wonderland Advent

Who knew you could make an advent calendar into a card. Leave it to Freshcut Paper to create a stunning advent card that you can send to anyone around the world – even keep it for yourself.

The Woodland Wonderland Advent card comes in a lovely envelop that you mail it in.

Inside you’ll find a card that is done in an accordion style. Once unfolded it looks like a woodland forest with snowy mountains and trees. The way it’s folded the card gives the image some depth and the same 3-D effect.

You’ll also find a pretty card to write your message on so as not to write on the advent card it’s self.

Unlike other Freshcut Paper cards, this one comes with a booklet. Inside the booklet you’ll see numbered flaps. Each day you’ll open up one of the flaps, remove what is inside, and add it to your Freshcut Paper Advent card to create a gorgeous winter scene.

Each image you’ll add to the advent has a sticky label on the back (just peel and stick).

I realized after I put a few of the stickers on the advent that I was DOING IT WRONG! I didn’t see the numbers printed on the advent card (you can see the number thirteen above). I thought you could put the stickers where ever you wanted to. I suppose you can, but then you are left with numbers visible on your beautiful advent woodland scene. Ugh!

I put on two more stickers, that is when I realized I goofed up.

It was when I put the little mouse drinking hot cocoa sticker on that I realized there were numbers printed on the card. Sigh…

This is how it’s suppose to look. Moving forward I’ll be putting the stickers on the numbered spots they are SUPPOSE to be on. I’m gong to try and carefully peel off the misplaced ones and put them where they belong.

The photo from the brand’s website is not completed, as you can tell by the visible numbers. There are only a few stickers on to show you what it will start to look like as you place the stickers on it daily.

This whole card set is only $18, and that includes the advent, sticker book, mailing envelope and special card to write your message on.

Once finished, this advent can be displayed year after year as a pretty winter woodland scene.
