When it comes to gift giving, especially during the holiday season, I find that it’s a lot easier to purchase gifts for women than for men. I don’t think it’s because I’m a woman and have an inkling what other women might like. I think it’s more so because there are so many more products geared towards women (at least that is how I see it).
I have two adult children. So far we only have two gifts for our son. As for our daughter, I was done shopping for her in a matter of days. I still have to purchase a few things, but I know exactly what to get for her because she’s so easy to buy for.
Make up and beauty products often make a great holiday gift, as well as stocking stuffers. As a woman, I have no problem being gifted beauty products, especially products I might not normally buy for myself. It’s a great way to learn about different brands and new products.
The holiday season is also a great time to pick up some wonderful beauty products and make up to get your face fresh, as well as to give yourself the perfect holiday look.
Below are some brands and products you might want to look into for gift giving this holiday season, as well as giving yourself the ideal holiday look for your upcoming holiday parties.
ONYX Professional
ONYX Professional is a budget friendly brand with exceptional products. I have used several of their products over the years. They offer products such as body scrubs, body wash, lotions, nail care products, foot care products and more.
Here are a few products worth considering (and a few are new favorites of mine).
ONYX Coconut Bliss Foaming Sugar Scrub
First and foremost, this sugar scrub smells AMAZING. It’s such a “yummy” scent (of course you can’t eat it).
I use sugar (or salt) scrubs a few times per week, especially in the colder weather. I use them to make sure my skin is free from dry and flakey patches. I almost don’t feel fully clean unless I’ve used a scrub.
I’ve never used a foaming scrub before. It’s nice.
I love that this scrub not only works great, but rinses off with no issues. Sometimes with scrubs I’ll try and rinse it all off while in the shower, only to find areas where it didn’t rinse off completely. I have not experienced that with this scrub.
The fact that it’s made with shea butter and coconut oil means that your skin is left feeling soft when you get out of the shower and dry off. So not only is it getting rid of dry skin, but it’s also leaving your skin moisturized too.
This is a large container too.
My feet NEEDED this product. My feet have been extra dry for some reason. Normally I don’t get this level of dryness this early in the season. Normally my feet are this dry come January/February.
These booties are a super easy way to give your dry feet a boost of moisturizing that they need.
They are so easy to use. Simply put them on your feet for about 10 minutes (I think I left mine on for longer than that), then remove them, wipe off the excess moisturizer from your feet, and dispose of them. Sadly they are single use only. I would use these every day!
One size fits all too. Honestly, men could benefit from these as well. My husband’s feet are equally as dry as mine.
These left my feet feeling so good. There were still a few dry spots, which I just buffed off with a foot care tool that I have.
A four-pack of these booties are only $10 at Walmart. The next time I’m at Walmart I’ll stock up on these.
Hydrating Shimmer Mist (Rose Petal Fragrance)
I’m a sucker for a shimmer mist. I LOVE shimmer mists! I have such pale skin that I feel like I need a little something. I like that shimmer mists at a bit of glow to my otherwise dull looking skin.
There are shimmer mists that look like they are made with glitter – which I am not a fan of. I prefer my subtle shimmer. This shimmer mist is just that. It adds some glow and shimmer to your skin without looking “tacky,” for lack of a better description. I’m sure many people know what I mean.
The scent is BEAUTIFUL! There needs to be a perfume in this scent. I would definitely buy it. It’s soft and lovely – very romantic smelling. It’s a great scent for running errands around town, to the office or a night out with friends.
I can’t comment too much on the hydrating aspect. But I can tell you that it looks pretty on and smells WONDERFUL.
I was sent this to review, but I honestly don’t have a need for it at this time. But I know some people have a need for this, so I will include it in this post.
ICONIC London

When I first saw that this was a lip “oil,” I was thinking just that – oil, as in a greasy texture or something that might drip. That is not the case at all. This is very thick. Not quite the texture of petroleum jelly, but sort of like that (must easier to apply than petroleum jelly).
This doesn’t really have a taste, but it did seem to have a light, fruity scent. It reminded me of strawberries. I even asked my husband if he smelled it. At first he said he didn’t smell a thing, then he said he can sort of smell strawberries.

Normally I don’t wear a lip gloss, but I tried this one and I really like it. It gives you lips a touch of color and lots of shine. It seems to stay on pretty well too.
This lip oil is available in different colors. The one I received looks very red, but it’s not as bold on the lips (at least not on my lips).
If you are looking for color and shimmer for your eyes, look no further than the glaze crayons from ICONIC London.
The glaze crayons are a “crayon” of color on one side, and a “glaze” on the other side. You can use them both together, or mix and match with your favorite eye products.
If you look at the photo of my hand, you can see just how well the glaze adds shimmer.
At first I thought these were for the lips. It wasn’t until I visited the brand’s website that I realized these were eye products.

YES! These glaze crayons will give you the most glamorous look for your eyes. I told my husband he needs to take me out some place nice so I can use these. They are a bit too much for my job (I work with kids). I’m lucky if I wear make up to work at all since the kids don’t care what I look like.
The Glaze Crayons are available in about a dozen different colors, so you can find one to suit the look you are going for.
This product stays on too. I tried to wipe it off my hand it none of it came off. I had to use soap and water. That means this product will stay on you until you are ready to wash it off.
This is a VERY glam product indeed. I love it!
When I first saw the color of the blush I was sent to review, I was worried that it would be too dark on my pale skin. The beauty of this product is that it very blendable. It might go on dark, but the more you blend it on to your skin, the lighter it becomes. I’m not sure, but you might be able to layer this too, meaning you can keep adding it on until you achieve the color you are looking for.
The easy squeeze tube and unique gel-to-watercolour formula put you in full control of your blush. A dream to build and blend, this lightweight gel transforms into a liquid, releasing vibrant coated pigments that leave cheeks looking sculpted and lifted.
I need to wear blush, due to my light skin. Normally I use a cream formula, but I find that this blends in much better and looks more natural on than the other blush I was using.
EXOCEUTICALS
EXOCEUTICALS is the is the first complete collection enriched with exosome technology.

This is a premium brand too. Not exactly budget friendly, but if you can afford it, these products do provide something more than similar products.

I’ve been asking my husband to try this product, but he’s not really into it. I ask my adult son to give it a try, which he did. Since he has nothing to compare it to (they don’t use products like this), all he told me was “good.”
I think more men need to take care of their skin. Men in other countries, such as South Korea, but great emphasis on taking care of their skin. I guess that really hasn’t hit the men in the United States yet.

I haven’t really needed this product yet, as it hasn’t been very sunny lately. As someone who burns easily (I just have to THINK of the sun and I get burned… ha ha), I am definitely going to go for this product. I’m sorry that I can’t really comment on it at this time.

My hair has been such a mess lately. I’m always happy to try out and review hair care products. I was sent the following products to review.

I have been trying to wash my hair less than I used to. Normally I would wash it every other day, but my hair dresser tells me to only wash 1-2 times per week. I need to wash more than once a week, so I have been trying to do it every three days. However, I don’t like how my hair looks or feels two days after washing it.
This dry shampoo has been a great help. It helps to make my hair not to look greasy, and I feel like it’s refreshing my hair.
I like that it’s easy to use and absorbs quickly. It doesn’t leave any weird, powdery residue on your hair or scalp. Just be sure to follow the easy to use instructions.
I can’t say if it volumizes. I am dire need of a hair cut, so it’s hard to tell. I have a lot of hair (think and course too). This might volumize thinner hair.

I was a bit “iffy” about adding oil to my hair. The last thing I want is for my hair to look or feel greasy (if you read my review of the dry shampoo above, you’d know that I don’t like that look).
I have added just a little bit of this product to my ends, focusing on areas that are damaged from bleaching my hair months ago (to color strands purple). Thankfully it doesn’t look or feel greasy.
I will agree with the brand that is helps with the frizz and leaves you hair looking smooth. It helps with my split ends.
Since a little bit goes a long way, one bottle should last a long time.

I was sent this facial brush to review.
If you look at the device, you can see some of the bristles. The bristles are SO SOFT! I hate using the term “bristles” because that might make people think they are hard and sharp. Not these. These are rubbery and oh-so-soft.
I have reviewed beauty “brushes” before (cleansers), but NOTHING like this. This is like the ultimate facial brush. It’s the “Rolls Royce” of beauty brushes!

The gold side is the side you use to warm your face. It does warm up. It’s not hot either, it’s the perfect temperature. It feels good on your face too.
You can control the speed/intensity of the vibration with the controls found on the bottom of the device (+/-).
When you are using the device you cannot tell that it has “bristles.” It feels more like you are using a soft wash cloth to wash your face.
I like the vibration. Just like the heat, it feels good. I feel like I am getting a spa treatment every time I wash my face.
I like the shape of it. The one corner fits perfectly around my nose. It helps you to get into all the “nooks and crannies,” so to speak.
You do need to charge this device. It comes with the charging plug, but you’ll need a cube to plug it into. I actually charged mine on my computer.
