Our Christmas tree (circa 2018)
It’s hard to believe that Christmas Eve is just one month away from today. That’s crazy! It seemed like only yesterday we were digging out our summer wardrobes. Now we’re getting ready to put up the Christmas tree (Friday) and start wrapping the presents to go around it.
I love everything and anything that has to do with the holidays, most especially Christmas. The decorations, the music, the holiday movies and television specials… I love them ALL.
We already decorated our home (inside and out). All that is left to do is put up the tree, but we traditionally don’t do that until the day after Thanksgiving.

We’ve already been watching some holiday movies on television. We feel guilty watching them so early, but it’s hard not to. Being in the holiday spirit makes our hearts smile, and let’s face it, with the year we’ve been having (all of us with the COVID situation), we NEED holiday spirit more than ever this year.
If you are looking for wonderful holiday entertainment, look no further than Hallmark Channel.

Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas movie line up for 2020
Shh.. can I tell you a secret? My HUSBAND watches Hallmark Channel as much as I do, even on his own! Right now (6:38 AM), he’s watching a Hallmark movie called Christmas Scavenger Hunt. He’s watching it while I go back and forth between getting ready for work and doing this blog post (he’s off today for an appointment). Normally he’d be watching the news. UPDATE: It’s now 4:17 PM and my husband is watching another Hallmark Movie while I finish up this post (he’s currently watching Christmas in Evergreen).
This year, Hallmark Channels has 23 new, original movies that are premiering all throughout the holiday season as part of their Countdown to Christmas holiday movies.
One of their new movies is Christmas by Starlight, staring Kimberley Sustad and Paul Campbell.
When her family’s beloved eatery, The Starlight Café, is slated for demolition, Annie vows to put a stop to it before Christmas.
I already have this film bookmarked to watch when it airs Thursday night (November 26, 2020) at 8:00 PM (EST) / 7:00 PM (CST).
The film is also part of the 7 Nights of Thanksgiving event. Don’t forget to tune in! Hallmark movies always make my heart smile. I know we’ll be watching Hallmark Channel this week and for the weeks to come. Right around Thanksgiving the holiday season kicks into “high gear” for me. It’s all about Christmas with everything I do, the things I watch, the music I listen to… everything!
I try to watch as many new (and old) Hallmark Channel holiday movies as I can. I’m glad Hallmark Channel airs them pretty much all the time during the holiday season, so there is always something on that I can watch.
I’m looking forward to watching Christmas by Starlight. In fact, I am going to be “live tweeting” during the movie on Thursday night. I hope you can join me! My Twitter handle is @She_Scribes. Please use the hashtags #ChristmasByStarlight, #CountdowntoChristmas and please tag @HallmarkChannel in your tweets too, that way both me and Hallmark Channel can see them.
