I’m a coffee lover. If ask my husband he’ll tell you I’m “addicted” to coffee. Yes, I do need the caffeine “kick” to get me through the day (sadly), but I also enjoy the taste of coffee, and I find drinking coffee relaxing, the same way people relax with a cup of tea.
I don’t think I’m a “coffee snob,” but I do enjoy a flavorful cup of coffee.
I’m not a fan of flavored coffee. There are A LOT of flavored varieties too. Blueberry, caramel, pumpkin spice… they all sound good, but I prefer just regular coffee.
There is a brand of coffee that not only tastes great, but also gives back to the men and women who risk their lives every day – fire fighters.
Fire Department Coffee is a veteran-owned, firefighter-run coffee company that supports our dedicated firefighters and first responders who are injured on the job, mentally or physically, or who are facing other serious health challenges.
I don’t know how fire fighters do it. We’re huge fans of the series Chicago Fire, and it amazes me how people can run into a burning fire without any fear or concerns about THEIR safety and wellbeing, in order to help save the lives of strangers. To me, that is a true hero.
It takes a special kind of person to be a fire fighter.
First responders are also amazing people. As someone who had 911 called on them, and had EMTs and the Police here in a heartbeat, I also consider you true heroes as well.
I’m sure there are a lot of injuries, and not doubt the job does wear down on your mental health. I can appreciate any brand that helps support services for fire fighters and first responders.
Fire Department Coffee offers gourmet coffee an array of flavors. From Red Velvet Donut Coffee, Blueberry Cake Donut Coffee, strong espressos to their signature spirit-infused selections. They even have regular flavored coffee for people like me who are not too “adventurous” with their coffee flavor choices.
I was sent some Fire Department Coffee and some other goodies.
Coffee is available in light, medium, dark roast and espresso. Their coffees are available whole bean, ground or coffee pods that fit Keurig-like machines.
I received a couple of boxes of the coffee pods because we have an iBrewer, which is like a Keurig. I received their medium roast coffee and their Donut Shop coffee (also a medium roast).
This is delicious coffee. Unlike other boxed coffee pod coffee, this coffee has a more “fresh” flavor to it (if that makes sense). Sometimes when I purchase coffee (especially from bulk stores), the coffee has a bland taste. Sometimes it reminds me of cardboard. I prefer fresh tasting coffee, as does most people.
I like the flavors of both of the coffees I receive to review. I honestly can’t tell you which one I like better. I enjoyed them both. I bounced back and forth between them. I might have the regular coffee in the AM, and the Donut Shop blend in the PM, or vice versa.
One day I’ll get a regular coffee brewer. I’m curious as to what the spirit infused coffee tastes like. They have coffee infused with bourbon (different flavors too!), rum, tequila, and different flavors of whisky (apple pie whisky?). They sound interesting.
Infused coffees are NON-alcoholic.

Fire Department Coffee also has a coffee subscription service and a Coffee of the Month Club. The subscription service can send coffee every 14, 21, 30 or 60 days (your choice). Of course you can just buy the coffee you want when you need it (you do not need to join the subscription service). They also offer bundles to help you save money.
In addition to the coffee, Fire Department Coffee also sells gear like shirts, hats, mugs, stickers and more.
Father’s Day is June 19, 2022. Coffee and/or Fire Department Coffee gear would make a great gift for the coffee loving man. Coffee would also make a great gift year round. I’d be more than happy to receive a coffee subscription service as a gift for Christmas or my birthday.
If you are interested in learning more about Fire Department Coffee, you can visit them online at FireDeptCoffee.com. You can also check them out on social media. All of those links can be found on the bottom right of the brand’s website.
