Have you ever looked at the ingredients list on your favorite beauty products? Can you honestly name half of them and explain exactly what they are and what they do? If you are like me, you probably can’t do that. Most beauty products are made from ingredients whipped up in a laboratory. If you don’t know what it is and what it’s used for, why are you putting it on your skin?
I have been trying to purchase products that have more natural ingredients. Bonus points if the ingredients are ethically sourced and the company have recyclable packaging. Not testing on animals is my #1 requirement.
Being a blogger, I have been afforded wonderful opportunities to try out products from brands I might not otherwise get to learn about. Some of these brands and products have become personal favorites of mine that I end up becoming a repeat customer.
The brand Terrakai has a new customer in me. I was sent a couple of products to review and I love them! So much so that I want to try other products from the brand.

I was sent the following products to review.
Kangaroo Paw Cleansing Gel
Lifts away dirt, debris, and makeup for a beautiful finish you’ll adore.
Infused with an arsenal of plant-based, antioxidant-rich ingredients (Sea Buckthorn Berries, Vitamin C, Resveratrol, and CoQ10), this silky-soft cleanser shields skin from damaging free radicals and detoxifies skin for a radiant result.
Better still: it’s formula calls upon the healing powers of Hyaluronic Acid and Australia’s Kangaroo Paw to enhance the skin barrier – locking in hydration.
I have a love/hate relationship with cleansers. I LOVE the feeling of a fresh, clean face (the way your skin feels when you get out of the shower), but many cleansers I have tried over the years leave my skin feeling taut and/or dry. I feel the need to put moisturizer on my skin immediately. I’m not a fan of having to do that. I would prefer to be able to wash my face and not have that horrible taut, dry feeling.
I LOVE this cleanser. I’m honestly not just saying this because I am reviewing the product. I truly mean it. For the record, I pride myself on giving honest reviews.
After I use this cleanser, my skin feels super clean BUT not dry or taut. In fact, it feels as if I already applied my other products, such as a serum and/or moisturizer.
I love that it also contains Hyaluronic Acid, because it helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps to add moisture to your skin, which might be why it doesn’t have that tight feeling after you use this product.
I will admit, when I saw it said “Kangaroo Paw,” I was a bit concerned that it was made with an actual kangaroo paw. Kangaroo paw is actually a flowering plant, native to Australia. It’s pictured at the top of this post.
Turn Back the Clock Serum
A wealth of hydrating, smoothing, and brightening benefits in one drop.
Powered by Australian superfoods, Kakadu Plum and Emu Apple, Turn Back The Clock Kakadu Plum, Emu Apple & Vitamin C Serum floods your skin with skin-protecting antioxidants that reverse the damaging effects of daily exposure to artificial blue light. These free-radicals-fighting compounds also help neutralize the effects of environmental pollution.
I really wish I learned about serums years ago. Serums are very beneficial to your skin. Most serums contain a lot of significantly important ingredients, such as Vitamin C. They also feel great on the skin.
This is a lovely serum. I use it daily, both in the AM after I wash my face, and in the PM after I wash my face. My skin soaks it right up. It leaves my skin feeling really nice. It doesn’t leave any type of residue or stickiness. It’s also lightweight. Some serums I’ve tried in the past have a heaviness to it. Not this serum. It’s very light and your can barely feel it on your skin.
I feel like this also adds some kind of a moisturizer, because my skin feels hydrated after I apply it. I do use an additional moisturizer, but that’s only because my moisturizer also has an SPF element to it, and being out in the sun at times during my day, I need an SPF.
Honestly, if all I used were this cleanser and serum, I’d feel like that is all my face truly needs.
I like that it has natural ingredients. I might not know what Kakadu Plum and Emu Apple are, but I know they are natural ingredients.
For the record, I looked them up. Kakadu Plum is used in a variety of medicinal ways and an antiseptic and soothing balm, and is great for colds, flus and headaches. Emu Apple provides collagen support, hydration and absorption.
If you are interested in learning more about these or other Terrakai products, visit the brand online at TerrakaiSkin.com.
Terrakai is an Australian brand, but they do ship to the United States. You can also change the money amount. On the top right you’ll see the letters “AUD.” Highlight that with your curser and you’ll see a drop down menu. Just click on “USD” to see the U.S. dollar amounts.
I found the brand on Facebook, but I am not sure if they have any other social media account.
