I realize we haven’t experience the onslaught of excited trick-or-treaters yet, but the holidays are quickly approaching. In years past I’ve normally completed my holiday shopping by the end of October. Getting my gift shopping done early meant that I was able to fully enjoy the holiday season and not have to stress about what to buy people and where to get it from.
When it comes to holiday shopping, I find it very difficult to shop for men. Even though I know what my husband likes, it’s still difficult. There is only so many mugs and silly t-shirts a person can own. I find shopping for women so much easier. But that ‘s just me.

I reviewed Scentbird many months ago. Scentbird is a monthly perfume subscription service. It’s so easy to use. Simply choose your favorite scent from their massive catalog, or choose a scent you are interested in and want to “try before you buy,” meaning, try it out before committing to purchasing a full size bottle. You can choose a different scent each month too. It’s a fun way to try out those scents you’ve always wanted to try, or ensure that you never run out of your favorite scent. You can also select the scent of the month.
Scentbird has fragrances from top brands such as Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Juicy Couture, Prada and DKNY, to name a few.
Your first subscription comes with a special “case” to house your perfume. Each month simple open the case and swap out the perfume bottle with the new one.
The case has an open/shut feature to prevent you from accidently squirting it inside your bag. The case also makes the perfume easy to carry with you in your bag, tote, backpack or gym bag.
Scentbird is NOT only for women – they have men’s colognes too. If your man loves to wear cologne, Scentbird is a great option. Just like with women’s perfumes, Scentbird for men allows men to pick and choose their favorite scents, or try out something new.
A subscription to Scentbird for cologne would make a great gift this holiday season (and beyond). It’s something “different” and totally unexpected. It’s a fun way for a man to find his signature scent, or try out new ones each month.
Scentbird also has a product line (also a subscription service) called Drift. Drift is a monthly subscription service for air fresheners for your car. They can also be used around your home and even at work.
Choose between a wood, stone, or metal fresheners. The wood and stone options will fit onto a metal clip you’ll affix to your car visor, while the metal option can be attached to your air conditioner vent.
Each Drift scented product lasts for approximately 30 days.
The scent is infused into the product. There is nothing to spray or drop onto the product. There is no mess involved at all.
I received a wood Drift freshener to review. It came with the metal visor clip. The wood piece (the one infused with the fragrance) simply snapped on to it. There is a magnet inside.
Once you receive your next subscription, simply dispose of the currently one and replace it with the new one.
Currently Drift is available in six scents. I’m sure more scents will be added over time.
Drift is not just for men, women can enjoy Drift too. I have the wood one in my car.
Drift also has other products for around your home including candles, diffusers and room sprays.
I received one of the brand’s candles to review. It’s a great, clean burning candle. It has a nice “throw,” meaning I can smell the fragrance in another room and not just the room the candle is burning in.
Candles are also popular gifts.
Between Scentbird and Drift, you can check off many people on your holiday shopping list – your significant other, parent, sibling, best friend, “Secret Santa” and more.
