I love watching holiday shows, cartoons and movies with my family. We always appreciate the classics (Rudolph, Elf, Frosty…) but there is always plenty of room for more holiday movies and shows in my family’s movie collection.
One of the newest holiday additions to our collection is the animated film The Naughty List. It stars the voice talents of Matthew
Lillard, Drake Bell, Sean Astin, Kyle Chandle and Naya Rivera.
There is one thing that strikes fear into a child’s heart and that is to think they will end up on Santa’s naughty list and not receive any presents on Christmas morning. As a child I always made sure to be on my best behavior during the holidays because I wanted to make sure Santa came to visit me (the rest of the year I was always into mischief :-)).
Imagine finding yourself on the naughty list when you work for Santa? That is what happened to two of Santa’s elves, Winter and Snowflake, and one of his flying reindeer in training, Sparkle.
The trio are always getting into trouble. Winter and Snowflake are always getting into mischief and Sparkle has a bit of a rebellious streak and doesn’t like to take direction or be told what to do.
Santa doesn’t want to put anyone on the naughty list, especially his elves and reindeer, but he has no choice. In addition to getting their names on the naughty list the trio assigned to do mundane tasks around the North Pole facility – not-so-fun-things like washing windows and cleaning the bathroom. Even fulfilling their chores the three continue to get in trouble.
The trio eventually end up on kitchen duty where they accidently give everyone food poisoning – including Santa!
With only hours left before Christmas it’s up to Winter, Snowflake and Sparkle to save the day and help save Christmas before it’s too late.
Will they succeed? To find out you need to pick up a copy of The Naughty List where ever most movies are sold.
I thought this was a cute movie. The animation clearly looks like it was done with a computer. It doesn’t have the realistic look and feel to it like blockbuster films. None the less it’s still a fun movie that is sure to delight young and old alike.
Check out the film’s trailer.
I think the “modern touches” like Sparkle wearing make up and fashionable accessories, will appeal to “today’s children”. Snowflake and Winter are also “rough and tumble” like boys typically are which should appeal to young children too. This is also a unisex cartoon meaning both boys and girls will enjoy it.
Look for The Naughty List where ever movies are sold.

Should be a fun addition to the holiday movie list. Thanks for the review.
This sounds like a movie my daughter would like to watch. She is always looking for new Christmas movies for us to watch. I will have to see if I can find this one.
