Eliminate the stressor
This is the most effective way to deal with stress and emotional exhaustion. Take out the stress factor. The problem is that it isn’t always possible to achieve this because many times, the stress and emotional exhaustion come from the work environment. While you should consider taking up a new job elsewhere or some other post, it might not happen instantly. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables, fruits, lean meats, and whole grains and avoiding processed or fried foods and sugary snacks are what it means to eat healthily.

Much of your emotional health rests on getting enough sleep. That’s how important sleep is. Mindfulness is a commonly used word these days, but mindfulness techniques aren’t just a fad. They are organized scientifically to reduce anxiety and stress, which is essential to balance your emotions.
With mindfulness, you’re engaging the present moment you’re in, and you can use this to take off your attention from negativity. Some examples of mindfulness techniques to try out are breathing exercises, yoga, meditation, taking notes in a journal, walking in nature, etc.

Connect with someone you trust
This is one of the easiest ways to relieve stress. Talking to someone (a friend) that you trust about your problems one on one takes a massive burden off your mind, especially if they’re a good listener. A trusted member of your family or a friend can listen to your problems and not judge you.

Talk to a professional
In addition to the lifestyle changes you’re making, you have to seek professional help to overcome emotional exhaustion. Seeing a professional will give you everything that you need to go through this period.
