Happy “Hump Day”, I mean Wednesday.
Today is my daughter’s birthday. She turns 11 today. Or shall I say 11 going on 16! You know how ‘tweens are these days. They grow up way too fast. The horrible thing is wasn’t she in diapers and watching “Teletubbies” just yesterday? Or so it would seem that way. Time flies TOO FAST! Especially when it comes to kids growing up.
I entered a writing contest. WISH ME LUCK… please! If I win I get 10 free books (I love books!) and I get to be a guest column writer for a week in July while the regular writer is on vacation. That would be so awesome if I won! Not only because I enjoy reading but also because I love to write (as you can tell) and it would be a huge honor to be able to write a column for newsletter that is read by hundreds of people around the world. Please keep your fingers crossed for me! I would appreciate that a lot.
There is a new up and coming band called Golden. They have a totally cool video done in 3-D. Is that a great concept or what? I have never seen a music video in 3-D before.
You can view the video and hear the song here, http://www.goldentheband.com/3d. Below is the trailer for the video on YouTube.
I picked up a lot of gardening things so now I’m all set to grow a mini-garden on our pathetic little balcony. I already lost some of my tomato plant to one of our cats and like a dork I knocked over all my seedlings yesterday.
If all goes well I should have strawberries, sunflowers, onions, lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, beans and cat grass (for the cats of course). All that and my little “Charlie Brown” Christmas tree (a tiny Colorado Blue Spruce seedling). My intentions are great… my green thumb ability is not so great. But at least I’m giving it a try. Who knows, I might even surprise even myself.
