I have confession to make…

I try to be the best wife, mother, friend and worker that I can be. I know I’m not perfect (far from it), but I do give it my all in hopes that I am doing my very best. BUT… I am only human. I have my imperfections.

I don’t like to clean. I LOVE a clean home, and when I do clean I do a deep cleaning – as in scrubbing fingerprints off the light switches and dusting off the walls. I am very thorough.

I don’t like to cook. My family does eat a health meal every night, but, I am not a fan of cooking. It’s like going to the dentist. It’s something that needs to be done so you just do it.

I also enjoy watching television. I enjoy sitcoms, movies and live entertainment. The only problem is that I have other things I need to get done first and foremost. Whenever I want to enjoy a favorite show or movie, I need to find a way to sneak in a little TV time into my day.

One way I sneak a little television watching into my day is while I am working on the computer. I’ll log into Netflix on my laptop and listen to my favorite show or movie, flicking in between screens so I can see what is going on too. Plus when my family sees me on the computer they think I’m working and they’ll leave me alone.

I have also watched shows on my smartphone in the car while waiting for my son to get off of work.

At my previous job my co-worker and I would watch movies on Netflix during “down time” (we had A LOT of down time). Instead of sitting around counting the tiles on the ceiling (again… I did that many times) we’d tune into shows and movies on Netflix.

Why do I sneak watch television shows and movies? For me I enjoy the entertainment and I appreciate a little “me time.” It’s also a great way to enjoy programs that I like, ones that the rest of my family are not necessarily in to. I appreciate not having to fight with other people over what to watch.

Watching my favorite shows and movies is relaxing and it’s a great way to de-stress. I work with a classroom of 5-6 year olds and they keep me on the go-go-go all day long. It’s nice to have a few moments to relax and unwind.

I’m not alone. According to a recent Netflix survey, “sneak watching” helps moms (and dads!) feel less stress and more refreshed. Nineteen percent even said that it makes them feel like a better parent having a little “me time.”

Check out the survey results.

“Sneaking” is the new “binging” according to the survey.

As I mentioned earlier, I sneak watch while I’m supposed to be working (at home), during “down time” at my previous job and in the car while waiting for our son to get off from work.

I have watched shows on our tablet in the bathtub a few times, but I always worry about getting it wet and ruining it.

Where do YOU sneak watch your favorite shows and movies? Check out more results from the Netflix survey and see where others sneak watch.

I LOVE watching The Walking Dead and Once Upon a Time on Netflix. They are two of my favorite series.

Check out this funny video of real moms and how they “get their sneak on” (LOL) and why they are not ashamed to admit it.

LOL! But what they said is so true.

If you need some time for a little entertainment, print out this fun coloring page for your child so that while they are busy coloring you can catch up on your favorite shows, like Orange is the New Black.

There is always something great to watch on Netflix. It’s all we watch for the most part during the summer months (we can’t stand repeats), plus it’s where we go to watch movies. Netflix is always adding new programs and shows so we love to check it often.

Our kids only watch Netflix. They are not into network television.

To see how other moms (and dads) get in a little sneak watching, check out the hashtag #MomSneak on social media.

If you’d like to check out what Netflix has to offer, visit them online at Netflix. com. You can also check them out on social media.

Do YOU “sneak watch” your favorite television shows and/or movies?

What do you find yourself sneak watching the most?

Why do you sneak watch?

I’d love to hear from readers. I hope you’ll comment and share your thoughts.
