One of my favorite things about being a blogger is that I am introduced to brands and products I might not otherwise get to know about. Some of my all time favorite products (ones that I purchase again and again) were originally sent to me to review. I loved them so much that I became a fan and a repeat customer.
I enjoy reviewing beauty products. The older I get, the more concerned I am about my skin and taking care of it. I wish I knew back when I was younger what I know now. I would have used sunscreen daily and moisturized every day.
When it comes to beauty products that I use now, I use ones that have made a visible/noticeable difference in my skin. I also prefer ones made with ingredients I know and can trust, and products that are affordable.
A while back I received to review a product from a brand called Suki.
Suki believes in the power of science and nature to create skincare that’s powerful, safe, and sustainable. They believe in radical transparency; giving their consumers all the information they need to truly know their beauty. And most importantly the brand believes that our home, this earth, should not pay the price of our innovations and lifestyles. With Suki Skincare you can feel good about the collection on so many levels!
Suki has a unique formulation strategy. They tap into bioactive cosmeceuticals, potent phytoconstituents that are proven to provide nonreactive, sustained benefits. They use proprietary botanic complexes, which leverage the synergy of ingredients in concert with skin’s dynamic processes. All this research and science come together in the most beautiful way.
The philosophy at Suki Skincare is simple: formulate brilliantly to develop clean products that are clinically proven to work. 84% showed dramatic improvement in skin’s overall appearance when using Suki strengthening products and 73% showed overall drastically clearer looking skin while using Suki clarifying products. Impressive to say the least.
Suki has several different skin care collections (Rescue, Care, Renew). They also have products designed to address problems such as dry skin, oily skin, blemishes, Eczema, aging skin and and combination skin. Their product line includes cleansers, moisturizers, oils and toners.
Suki is cruelty free, vegan, synthetic-free, toxin-free, organic ingredients, Leaping Bunny Certified, contains organic ingredients, sulfate-free, paraben-free, petro-chemical free, natural fragrance, natural, pure, clean, and safe for sensitive skin.
I was sent to review Suki’s Concentrated Clarifying Toner.
To be honest, I don’t use toners. I have used them off and on over the years, but I found that they are not worth that extra step (in my opinion). That is until I tried the Concentrated Clarifying Toner from Suki.
- balances oil & bacteria production
- improves overall clarity
- purifies pores & detoxifies complexion
- reduces the appearance of redness & evens overall tone
The toner is made from the following ingredients;
rosa centifolia flower water†∆, alcohol (from sugar cane denatured with lavender oil)†, salix alba (willow) bark extract, water (aqua), lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil†, phospholipids, ascorbyl palmitate, aloe barbadensis leaf juice†, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, ascophyllum nodosum (atlantic kelp) extract, anthemis nobilis flower oil, leuconostoc/radish root ferment/filtrate, limonene*, linalool*.
I may not know what all of these ingredients are, but I do know what more than half of them are, which is a good thing if you ask me.
I spritz this tone on my face, neck and décolleté after I wash my face. I use it twice a day – in the morning and in the evening when I am getting ready for bed.
First and foremost, this product reminds me of autumn. It must be one of the ingredients that is giving off an autumn vibe. EVERY TIME I spray it on my face I instantly think about fall. That is not a bad thing at all. In fact, I really enjoy it. Autumn is my favorite season.
This product will last a long time. I mentioned above that I use it twice per day, but I have so much left in the bottle. This bottle will last for months.
You can also apply this directly to your skin using a cotton ball or pad. I prefer to spray it on. I feel like it’s more refreshing that way, especially on a hot and humid day.
I can’t say that I’ve noticed much of a psychical difference, but I have noticed that my skin is not dry, and is feels soft to the touch. I also don’t think that my skin looks as red and blotchy as it normally does. I guess that would go along with what the brand says about the product – that it ” evens overall tone.”
Even if I don’t wear make up or do my face each day (why bother when I am stuck at home all the time), I still enjoy spraying this product on my face.
I also think that this toner lays down a nice “foundation” before applying other beauty products.
Overall I am very pleased with this product. It’s one of those products I mentioned in the beginning of this post that I love so much that I plan on purchasing more once I am done with the bottle I am currently using. I am now a Suki fan for life.
