How often do you get a good night’s sleep. I’m talking about at the very least eight hours? For me, getting even four hours seems like a big deal. Whether you are a great sleeper or not, I think we’ve all woke up at one time or another feeling like you’ve gone twelve rounds in a boxing ring instead of getting a good night’s sleep.
We often underestimate just how much a “bad” night of sleep bleeds into the rest of our lives. When you don’t get that deep, restorative rest, it isn’t just about feeling a little sleepy, it’s about your brain feeling like it’s stuck in a fog, your mood being a bit shorter than usual, and your physical health taking a backseat.
A good night’s sleep is basically a superpower. It helps your heart, regulates your stress, and it makes us much more pleasant to be around. That’s why I’m always on a mission to find products that actually help us catch those elusive Z’s.
Recently I received something pretty cool (literally) to review – an iSense FlexiCool Adjustable Pillow from the brand iSense.
Let me start by saying that I barely got my hands on this pillow. The second I unboxed it, it was like sharks circling in the water. My son was immediately hovering, telling me that if I didn’t want it, he would happily “sacrifice” himself to take it off my hands. Ha Ha.
But it was my husband who actually made the move. In his defense, the man truly did need a new pillow. His old one had seen much better days. Talk about “flat as a pancake,” and that’s putting it mildly.
Both of them were really impressed with the feel of it right out of the gate. I was too.

When the iSense FlexiCool arrived, it was wrapped up incredibly tight in plastic. It looked nothing like a pillow. It made me wonder how something like this could end up looking like a pillow. But as soon as I snipped that plastic away it “poofed” right up.
It’s one of those satisfying things to watch. And the best part is that you can really get in there and mush it around with your hands to fluff it up exactly how you like it. It felt substantial and high-quality immediately, which isn’t always the case with pillows that come compressed.
The most unique factor about this pillow is the adjustability. We all have different “comfort points.” Some people want to feel like they’re sleeping on a cloud, while others want something that feels more like a brick.
Inside the iSense FlexiCool pillow you’ll find small square foam pieces. You can unzip the pillow and remove some of that foam padding to adjust the loft. If it’s too high or firm for you, just take some out. On the flip side, I suppose if you really wanted it extra firm, you could add more stuffing, though it comes quite plush as it is.

I did manage to steal it back for a night to try it out (research purposes, right?), and being able to tweak the internals makes such a difference for neck alignment. No more waking up with that annoying “crick” in your neck because your pillow was at the wrong angle.
The “FlexiCool” in the name isn’t just for show. This pillow uses FlexiCool technology combined with moisture-wicking materials designed to keep you from overheating.
We haven’t really noticed any “cooling,” but in our defense, it has been quite chilly here at night lately. We’ve been bundled up, so we haven’t hit those “sweaty summer night” tests yet. However, the fabric feels incredibly breathable and soft to the touch, which is a huge plus for anyone who tends to sleep hot.
Beyond the comfort, I really appreciate the thought put into the materials. The iSense pillow is made with:
- Hypoallergenic materials: A must-have for anyone with sensitivities.
- Dust mite-resistant fabric: Which helps keep your sleep environment much cleaner over time.
- Certified Foam: It’s free from harmful chemicals, so you can rest easy knowing you aren’t breathing in anything nasty while you sleep.

It’s a great, generous size that fits perfectly in a standard pillowcase but feels much more “premium” than your average big-box store find.
While I might have to buy a second one just so I can actually use it regularly and not have to share with my husband, the iSense FlexiCool Adjustable Pillow is a winner in our house. It’s rare to find a product that my husband, my son, and I all agree on, but the adjustability of this pillow makes it a crowd-pleaser for any sleep style.
If you’re tired of waking up tired, I highly recommend checking them out. You can head over to MyiSense.com to learn more about this pillow, as well as their impressive lineup of mattresses and beds.
Don’t forget to follow the brand on social media to keep up with their latest sleep tips and product launches. Your neck (and your morning mood) will thank you.
Are you a side sleeper or a back sleeper? Do you think you’d remove the foam or keep it all in? Feel free to comment and share your thoughts. I always love to hear from readers.
