It’s summer time. Time to get out there and enjoy some fun in the sun.
I work with children in a school setting, and I have been getting them outside as much as possible. The heat wave hasn’t helped matters any.
On the last few days of work/school, we have more hours with the kids at work. Normally we see them three hours a day, but on the half days we see them from 12:30 – 6:00. That means I need to come up as a lot of fun activities, games and crafts for them to do to keep them entertained.
We do the usual stuff (bubbles, kites, crafts…) but some of the kids have been craving something more. Thank goodness for the Aero-Storm™ Stunt Plane from the brand Top Secret Toys™. It has been a huge hit with the kids at work. So much so they sometimes fight over whose turn it is to use it next.

The Aero-Storm is a plastic and foam plane that flies on it’s own without the use of batteries. It is powered by air pressure you pump into the plane using an included air pump.
Using the Aero-Storm couldn’t be any easier. It’s so easy that children as young as six can power it up.
To use the Aero-Storm plane, insert the air pump into the valve on top of the plane’s “head” and pump in about 15-20 pumps of air. You can use it with less air pumps too. I told my kids at work not to go over 15 pumps only because there are a few kids I know that think they can do things their way and I didn’t want to risk ruining the plane.
You can fly it again by restarting the propeller when it first lands, but it won’t go as far. It needs to have a full tank of air for maximum benefit.
The plane has foam wings and tail. If you bend the tail “flaps” a certain way you can make the Aero-Storm do tricks, such as loops and change direction (go left or right, not straight, when flown).
The Aero-Storm features a patented self-starting micro air-engine which makes is sound just like a real engine.

The Aero-Storm is also STEM.org Authenticated Trustmark. Parents will be happy to know this lightweight wonder will engage students through hands-on learning and collaboration. A few fun rounds with the Aero-Storm can introduce age-appropriate science, engineering and math concepts, without them even realizing it. I’m all for toys that also have a learning element to them where children don’t even realize that they are learning.
The Aero-Storm that we have did hit the side of the building twice. One time the head piece popped off (it was easy to slip back on). The other time it was fine. I do HIGHLY recommend using this on the grass and not on a hard surface, like a gym floor. It can break if it hits a gym floor too hard.
I also do not recommend flying it around trees. This did end up in a tree, but thankfully we were able to get it down. Too bad two of our plane old foam planes are still stuck in the same tree.
As you can hear in the videos, the kids were having a blast with the Aero-Storm. I’m thrilled about it too because now I know I can take this out whenever we have time outside.
The Aero-Storm plane retails for $29.99. That is a GREAT price for this fabulous toy.
I don’t remember the age range, but I had five and six year olds using it. It’s great for ‘tweens, teens and adults too. I will admit that I had a blast with this too.
