Did you ever collect anything when you were a child? Personally I loved stuffed animals. I had TOO many if you ask my mom and dad. There was no place to keep them all. I also loved to collect Fisher Price Little People sets, back in the day when they were still made out of wood (yes… I’m THAT old. Ha Ha). Back in the day people would collect things like marbles and baseball cards. It’s funny how these things change over the years. I can’t imagine kids collecting those items today.
I work with children. I find it interesting what they choose to collect and what the “in” toys are.
One thing my kids at work like to collect are those small animals that teacher’s use as “desk pets.” Teachers give them to the kids (in little plastic bubbles) and let them earn goodies for their “pet” with good behavior. The kids love those little eraser-sized “pets.” I do find them cute myself.
I honestly cannot remember what was the “in” collectable when my kids were little. My son mostly collected trucks and cars. I can’t remember what my daughter enjoyed collecting. One of these days I’ll have to see if she even remembers.
There is a new collectible toy available that I can see becoming very popular with the kids. It’s called itSmol™. I was sent some to check out for myself. But first, let me give you a little background on these adorable toys.
In a world where joy arrives in small packages, MMG Brands is thrilled to unveil itSmol™, a brand-new line of miniature collectible vinyl figurines that promise to bring big smiles. Standing proud at 1.5” to 2” tall, the itSmol™ collection brings together the essence of whimsy and the delight of collecting, offering something truly unique for collectors and fans of all ages.
At the heart of the itSmol™ universe are two captivating series: the adorable Teanie Tots™, snugly sitting in their miniature teacups, and the vibrant itSmol Moosh-Moosh collection, featuring fan-favorite characters reimagined as tiny collectibles.
“We are committed to excellence, creativity, and building a community,” explains Sean Price, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer for MMG Brands. “Each itSmol figure is crafted with care, ensuring the highest quality and a special charm that resonates with collectors. Our mission is to bring joy and a sense of wonder through our diverse collections, providing a little something for everyone in the vast itSmol universe.”
Each itSmol figurine is meticulously crafted, from the 1.5” Moosh-Moosh collectibles to the slightly larger Teanie Tots, embodying the quality and charm MMG Brands is known for. The 2024 Spring Collection invites collectors to embark on a journey of discovery and friendship with characters like Dot, Drac, Rainbow Swirl, and many more, ensuring every collector finds their perfect tiny companion.
While the itSmol line proudly embraces its roots with Moosh-Moosh, it stands as a distinct brand filled with unique characters and stories like with the slightly larger Teanie Tots. Collectors will enjoy discovering and collecting new Teanie Tots characters and are invited to explore the vast itSmol universe, finding joy in the little things and the big community it brings together.
I have reviewed Moosh-Moosh in the past. You can check out those posts by doing a search for Moosh-Moosh here on my site. I’ve linked to the search to make it easier for you.
Moosh-Moosh are a line of super soft and adorable plush toys. They also ventured out into other products, such as slippers and pillows.
I was sent a delightful assortment of the itSmol™ Teanie Tots and Moosh-Moosh toys to check out for myself. I was thrilled about that because I was eyeing the cat ones from each collection. As the mom to eight (yes, eight) cats, I have a thing for cats.
Let me start with the Teanie Tots.

Teanie Tots are sweet critters sitting inside tea cups. They are not removable from the cups.
When you first open the box and flatten it out you’ll notice what looks like a doily printed on the inside. You’ll also find a small page of stickers (more on that in a moment).

Inside the box you’ll also find a silver plastic bag. Inside that bag is your Teanie Tot. These are not “blind” purchases, meaning you have no clue what is inside the bag. What you get is what is printed on the outside of the box. There are no surprises. The only thing you’ll be surprised at is how cute the Teanie Tots are.

I received a large variety of Teanie Tots. Only a handful are in the photos. I was using them for prizes for my kids at work, so I didn’t want to open them all up. Of the ones pictured, I do have them sitting on my bookcase.
There is something about these toys that remind me of the old Weeble Wobbles (if you are close to my age you might recall those), except these don’t wobble around.
Just look at how sweet these collectible toys are.

I had mentioned that these come with a small sheet of stickers. The stickers can be used to decorate your toy, or the “play mat” (for lack of a better description – referring to the box with the doily imprinted on it). Of course your child is welcome to use whatever stickers they might already own, or choose not to use the stickers at all.
I put the stickers on for an example, but I opted not to put the stickers on my Teanie Tots. This is why the stickers are not flat on the toy. I wanted to be able to remove them easily afterwards.

The itSmol™ Moosh-Moosh collection is similar to the Teanie Tots line. They are made from the same material, come in a box that doubles as a “play mat” and they come with stickers you can use to decorate them with.
If you are not familiar with Moosh-Moosh they have long bodies. These little collectible toys have the same shaped bodies.
I was also sent a variety of the itSmol™ Moosh-Moosh collectibles to check out for myself.

What is pictured are only a few of them. There are more, but like it is with the Teanie Tots, I am using the rest as prizes for my “work kids.”
Here is what the inside of the box looks like. The stickers are the same as they are with the Teanie Tot toys.

The critter is printed on the outside of the box, so there is no guessing what you might get. On the inside the toy is also wrapped in a silver package.

You can add stickers to them if you wish as well.

They are so cute. I love that they resemble their larger plush “cousins.”

These are also sitting on top of one of our bookcases.
Even though you can see a “line” going around the head portion of the toy, it does not move. I guess that is just how they were assembled.
I brought the remaining ones to work with me to give to my “work kids” who are in 4th – 6th grade. These can be given to younger children, but for them they are more like toys. The older kids seem to want to collect and display them rather than play with them.
The girls seemed more into the Teanie Tots than that boys. It might be because they are peeking outside of a teacup. Not all the boys. I have two boys that wanted to earn one of those too. Both boys and girls liked the Moosh-Moosh ones. Some even knew what Moosh-Moosh were.
These worked GREAT as far as prize incentives were concerned. My older kids went out of their way to earn a chance to pick another one. It was almost like a race to see who could collect the most itSmol™ from the prize box.
I neglected to add that these are made very well. The Teanie Tots are especially solid toys because they don’t have many pieces that stick out. There are a few Moosh-Moosh characters with pieces that stick out, like on the dragon and unicorn. None the less, they are still well made so it would have to be something like dropping them from a high place on a hard floor to cause damage.
You can find itSmol™ collectible toys at select Walgreens stores or the brand’s website – itSmol.com. You can also check them out on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with new characters and products.
What do you think about the itSmol™ product lines? Do you think your child/grandchild would love collecting them?
They would make great gifts too!
