Are you familiar with the brand La Roche-Posay? I was recently introduced to the brand in celebration of their 40th Anniversary.
For a limited time only (now until January 15, 2016), La Roche-Posay is offering the 40th Anniversary Kit to help celebrate their big 4-0 and also provide you with the go-to product of the holiday season.
The kit includes travel size samples of their best-sellers & consumer favorites:
La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur (.34 FL.OZ) BB meets Blur – provides instant coverage and will result in a visibly flawless complexion in seconds. Won’t clog pores or cause breakouts.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Cooling Water-Lotion (.1 FL.OZ) has a unique texture that transforms like water on the skin, while providing an immediate cooling effect and advanced sunscreen protection.
Effaclar Cleanser (1.69 FL.OZ) is known for solving and preventing dry skin in a minimal time period, as well as visibly tightening pores while removing excess oil. This water soluble cleanser is simple yet effective, what is there not to love?
Redermic R (.16 FL.OZ) reduces visible wrinkles using a unique range of anti-aging skincare, thoroughly developed with dermatologists. The lightweight and non-greasy texture, skin leaves soft and luminous.
La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water (1.8 FL. OZ.) promotes a healthy, refreshed and toned complexion. Infused with rich minerals, they nourish and protect the skin against environmental damage. Spray over skin during the day to boost radiance or to calm sensitive and irritated skin conditions.
All of this for only $15.00. It’s a wonderful way to introduce yourself to the brand, and it would make a great holiday gift or stocking stuffer.
I received the set to review.
The includes an Effaclar Cleanser. I know the Effaclar brand very well. My daughter has been using Effaclar products for the past few months. She suffers from bag acne. She’s currently on an oral medication to help control it. The medication dries her skin out really bad. One of her friends recommended she try some products from Effaclar. We found a “kit” of three products at our local drug store. It’s a 3-step system that includes a medicated gel cleanser, clarifying solution and a “duo” product that helps to treat and prevent breakouts to improve skin texture.
The products work so well for her that she has been purchasing them ever since. She even requested some for Christmas (I purchased two kits for her which should last a few months).
With that said, I was looking forward to trying the cleanser. So far I am pleased with the cleanser. It does a good job cleaning your face and doesn’t not leave your face feeling dry or sticky.
I really like the La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Cooling Water-Lotion. It goes on silky-smooth and absorbs instantly. You can’t even tell that you are wearing anything on your skin.
Due to the fact that it’s cold outside and I am not spending much time outside without a coat/jacket, it’s hard to test the effectiveness of the sunscreen, but so far I love how it feels on the skin. It’s not sticky and slimy like most other sunscreens.
The La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is nice. I love it! It’s water that you spray on your face (and body). The spray is a fine mist. It helps to add moisture to your face. It works well if you mist it on your face then apply your favorite moisturizer. It’s like the water “boosts” the moisturizer.
The winter months can be very drying and damaging to your skin. Personally, my skin looks and feels horrible in the winter months. I am dry all over. My eczema tends to kick in during the winter months too. Anything that can help prevent dryness is a product I want to use.
I love the way it feels when you spritz it on your skin. It’ like a little “pick-me-up.” It’s refreshing. I will definetly be purchasing more of this product once my sample is empty.
I’ve only started to use the Redermic R, so I cannot give you a true review. So far, so good.
The La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur seems to be working well. I am not a fan of foundations/bases. The less makeup on my face the happier I am. I do know that sometimes I do need to give in and apply something, especially if I have marks or blemishes on my face. This cream helps to reduce the appearance of “imperfections.” Just like in the name of the product, it “blurs” the blemishes on your face (acne, dark spots…) making them less noticeable. It’s kind of link a concealer in a way.
This is a great kit and a fun way to try out the products (“try before you buy”). It’s a nice introduction to the La Roche-Posay brand.
My daughter already uses Effaclar products, and she raves about them.
I was sent some Effaclar products to try out and review as well – Astringent, Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment and Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream. I’ll have my daughter use those products and assist with my review. Look for that review in the near future.
