I love candles. I cannot get enough of them. My husband would say that I’m “addicted” to them. Not a day goes by that I don’t light a candle, even if it’s just for a little while (usually in the evening after we have dinner and it starts to get dark out).
I like candles for the two reasons why most people like candles – for the way they smell, and for how soothing and calming the flames look as they are flickering. I can get mesmerized watching the flames of a candle.
Another reason why people like candles is because candles can help set the mood, especially a romantic one.
It saddens me when I think about all the money I have spend on candles over the years that simple do not have a fragrance. Not only don’t you smell anything when you burn them, but they barely smell at all (usually it’s candles I’ve purchased sight unseen).
The brand Love Notes recently introduced a new unforgettable fragrance to their product line called “Love Letter.” “Love Letter” features the scents of rose, ginger, ylang ylang and white tea. All of these scents I love individually, so combined, I had a feeling it was going to smell amazing.
Love Notes was kind enough to send me their “Love Letter” scented candle. I was super excited to receive it because I love candles, and I can never have too many candles (my husband would disagree, ha ha).
The “Love Letter” candle is hand poured too.
The candle arrived in very pretty packaging. The box has a pretty design on it, which carries over on to the candle it’s self.
Inside the box I found a sweet note card (pictures at the bottom of this post) and to my surprise, I also found a QR code that allowed me to pull up an exclusive music playlist on my phone. What a fun idea! This candle is a gift in more ways than one.
I put a graphic over the code so that the play list could not be pulled up, since that would be giving it away for free. Sorry.
The candle was even nicer in person that I imagined. As I mentioned earlier, I love all the scents that are combined to make the “Love Letter” fragrance individually. Together, they did not disappoint. They smell absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G together!
It’s a very feminine scent. Definitely a romantic aroma. I can clearly smell the rose and the ylang ylang. The ylang ylang also gives the fragrance a touch of exoticness too.
What really stood out to me about this lovely candle (aside from the fragrance) is that the candle does not need to be lit in order to smell the candle scent. Just being near the candle (unlit), you can smell the fragrance. I really love that. For that reason I keep the candle on my desk when it’s not lit, just so I can give a whiff of the scent as I’m working on my computer.
When the candle is lit, it smell equally as wonderful.
This candle can be enjoyed year round, but for me personally, I will use this during the spring and summer months. I’m partial to pumpkin and fall scents when the weather gets cooler.
You can purchase products containing this intoxicating scent from Love Notes ranging from the 8 ounce travel tin ($18.00) up to the Love Letter Lux Set ($65). The set I received (candle and play list) is $25.00.
