Are you familiar with the brand Magformers? Magformers are one of the coolest magnetic building toys I have ever had the experience of playing with.
We have some Magformer pieces at the program I work at. My “work kids” play with the pieces often, and have created some really interesting things with them.
Magformers magnetic building pieces come in a variety of shapes (square, triangle…) to allow your creativity flow. There are no limits to what you can create with them.
Magformers are the GOLD standard for magnetic toys. They are safe for children to play with, and they promote engaging and educational play for your children.
When I am setting up centers in my program, I regularly put the Magformer pieces on our STEM table. I also leave cards next to them encouraging children to try and build what is on the cards with the Magformer pieces. Cards I put down include bridges, houses, barns, and skyscrapers.
Here are some examples of the fun Magformer sets available – Magformers Town Set-Mart and WOW Plus Set. Your child’s creativity will be next level. Both are great for developing color and shape recognition, fine motor skills, and problem-solving abilities. When playtime is over, clean-up is a breeze as the magnetic power of Magformers ensures that pieces click together with ease.
The pieces “snap” together (due to the magnetic attraction) and take up very little space.
I was sent the WOW Plus Set to review.
What made me interested in this set in the first place is that this set comes with wheels. I have never seen wheels with a Magformers set.
Knowing how much my “work kids” enjoy Magformers, I love the idea of them being able to create vehicles too, and not just buildings.
This set comes with eight triangle pieces, five square pieces, and two wheel pieces. It also comes with a little boy that sits inside a seat that moves back and forth. He’s attached to the seat and cannot be removed.
In addition to the Magformers pieces, this set also comes with several large “cards” with easy to follow directions and illustrations on how to make different things with the set. Of course they are only suggestions. Your child is encouraged to use their imagination and create their own thing.
Best of all, ALL Magformers pieces work together, so if you have other sets, you can combine them with this set and create awesome and amazing things.
Sadly, the Magformers pieces are at work, and work is closed for the summer (we’re located in a school). I don’t have other pieces to show you. I will be bringing these to work with me to add to our other Magformers pieces.
Here is some information about the Town Set – Mart 22 Piece set I mentioned earlier in this post. It’s pictured at the bottom of this post.
Create 3D structures from 2D nets with the Magformers Mart Set. Build your own farmers market and sell your produce.
This set includes 22 pieces: 7 squares, 4 triangles, 2 rectangles, 1 rhombus, 1 Mart sign, 2 base plates, 1 vegetable block, 1 mini bike, 1 grocer, and 2 wall plates.
Build along with the step-by-step instructions and develop color and shape recognition, fine motor skills, and problem-solving ability.
The original and authentic Magformers are perfect for brain development, critical thinking, and STEM education. Follow the step-by-step educational idea booklet for ideas and instructions.
Each geometric shape contains magnets that never reject, so you’ll always hear the Magformers click. When playtime is over, use the magnetic power to simply stack and store.

Does your child/grandchild own any Magformers sets? Do you think they would have fun with Magformers? Feel free to comment and share your thoughts. I always love to hear from readers.
