Mantra Bands – Your daily reminder, affirmation, and inspiration.

We live in a crazy world, so much so that my husband and I are reluctant to watch the evening news. We want to stay informed and up-to-date on what is going on in the world around us, as well as locally. Sadly, the news is more stressing than uplifting.

My husband and I always talk about staring a new news channel where it’s but GOOD news, and touch upon the rest of the news (aka, the “bad news”). I would rather hear about an uplifting story where a community rallied together to support a family in need than banks closing their doors and the daily gun violence.

Sigh…

Along side the world around us, we also have to deal with our “inner world,” meaning our personal lives. So many of us suffers from issues such as lack of confidence, stress, tragic loss and family issues.

The brand was kind enough to send me a couple of pieces to check out for myself. I received to review one of their lovely necklaces and a set of their friendship bracelets.

I received one of the brand’s “breathe” necklaces. This is something I really need to remind myself to do every day. Of course I breathe (otherwise I wouldn’t be alive!), but I tend to let everything weigh me down where I feel like I am “drowning” at times. Between current health issues, a health issue with one of our cats, and all the insanity that is my job, I just feel overwhelmed at times. I feel like I have a boulder on my shoulders and I can’t think straight let alone anything else.

When I think about the word “breathe” I feel like it’s a reminder to stop, take some deep breathes, and calm down so that you can refocus your thoughts. That is MY take on the word. Other people might think of it in a different way. There is no right or wrong way. It’s YOUR personal interuputation.

When I wear my “breathe” necklace, and I am feeling stressed out and, I find myself playing with the necklace, just like how I tend to twirl my hair around when I’m feeling frazzled. When I find myself playing with the necklace, I remember what it says, and it’s my reminder to stop, take some deep breathes, calm down and refocus.

The necklace is small, but not “dainty” where it would be fragile. This is well made. It’s a subtle piece of jewelry.

My daughter has even worn this necklace. She likes how it’s simple. It’s a great “every day” piece, but it could easily be worn when you are dressed up as well.

In addition to the “Breathe” necklace, I also received a pair of friendship bracelets. They are called “Thread of Friendship” bracelets.

Wear this bracelet to remind you of our connection. Know that the bond we share can not be broken. We were meant to be, you and me. The link keeps us connected, the red thread protects us, brings us luck, and reminds us to hold strong to what matters most.

These bracelets are sold as s pair. One is for you and one is for your bestie. I plan on giving mine to my cousin whom I grew up with. She’s been my lifelong best friend.

They come in a small bag too.

The bracelets are made with a red string that you can adjust to fit your wrist. I like this because not all people have the same size wrist. I happen to have a thick wrist.

You’ll find two small interlocking circles on the bracelets. The links represent being “connected” to your best friend.

I love the meaning behind these bracelets. I also love that they are simple enough to wear every day.

Both the necklace and the bracelets would make great gifts. Mother’s Day is coming up in several weeks. A piece of jewelry from Mantra Band would make a great gift for that special lady in your life.
