WOW! There a A LOT of talented people who reprised their Marvel roles. Just check out that list!
I love Marvel movies, so I would love to see this series done in “real life,” but to be honest, a lot of the things seen in this series could not be done with actual people.
The series does a great job of making the animated characters look like their real life counterparts.
The animation looks like the pages of a comic book has come to life. The animators did an amazing job bringing the characters to life, but in animation. The characters are also voiced by the person who is in that role (for example, Michael Rooker voices the animated Yondu, and Benedict Cumberbatch voices Doctor Strange).
For an animated series, there is a lot of fantastic action. Even my husband, who is not really a fan of Marvel movies (how can he not be?) kept his eyes on the television screen, and not on his phone. When I asked him what he thought about the series, he said it was “really good.” Not bad for a non-Marvel fan. Ha Ha.
I love that along with the seriousness and the action, there is some humor injected here and there, the same way humor pops up in the Marvel movies. For me, that helps make them seem like mini-Marvel movies in a way.
If you have Disney+, and you are a Marvel fan, or you are just looking for the next great series to watch, check out “What If…?” staring August 11, 2021.
