Coming to digital on September 24, 2024, is the horror flick, Hayride to Hell.
The film stars Bill Moseley and Kane Hodder. Both of these actors have been in many horror films over the years.
Bill Moseley has been in films such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The Blob, Night of the Living Dead, and House of 1000 Corpses.
Kane Hodder, in my opinion, is a horror movie legend. He played Jason Vorhees in several Friday the 13th films. I even have a Jason Vorhees mask that was autographed by him. Mr. Hodder has also been in many non-horror films and television shows.
Famer Sam (Mosley) owns are beautiful family farm that has been in his family for over 200 years.
The people in town love his farm, especially around Halloween when Farmer Sam sets up a lot of fun Halloween activities and treats for guests, including a haunted hayride.
Not everything likes Farmer Sam and his farm. Some county officials, including the towns sheriff Jubel (Hodder), want his farm shut down (mostly for their personal reasons).
The county officials want the farm closed down right away, but Farmer Sam makes a deal with them. If they go on his haunted hayride and get scared, they will leave him alone once and for all. If he fails to scare them, the will give up the family farm.
I’m pretty sure you know where this is going. Ha Ha.
Does Farmer Sam succeed in scaring everyone in order to save his farm? To find out, check out Hayride to Hell. Look for it on digital September 24, 2024.
This is a fun movie to watch for the Halloween season. It’s not intended for children. I couldn’t find the official rating, but it would have to be rated R due to the violence and gore. There is A LOT of gore too.
I love watching horror movie classics during Halloween season (Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Shining…), so it’s refreshing to find a horror movie that I can add to this list that was dare I say, entertaining. I say this because I am a horror movie “snob.” I LOVE horror movies and it takes A LOT to impress me. I don’t think Hayride to Hell is scary (not for diehard horror fans), I just found the storyline and the gross kills in the film entertaining (not meant in a “sick” way – I’m a normal person. Ha Ha). It’s just a fun movie to watch if you are into dark comedies, blood and gore.
The acting was pretty good. I like how Mosely comes across as a very likeable Farmer Sam, but at the same time he has a sinister personality.
Hodder played a character you love to hate and you looked forward to seeing him get his “just rewards,” along with the county officials.
The film is release by Breaking Glass Pictures. Be sure to check them out at BGPics.com to keep up-to-date on new releases. You can also follow them on social media. Their links can be found on to top of their website.
