If you are a fan of horror movies and “creature features,” you should definitely check out the streaming service Shudder. They have so many movies to choose from in the horror genre.
I used to subscribe, but I had to cut back on a few things due to budget “issues.” I hope things will be resolved too so I can get the channel back. I always found a movie on there to watch.
Not all the movies found on Shudder will make you want to turn on all the lights and hide under the covers. Some are a bit too silly, but have some horror aspect to them. There are such things as “dramadies” (drama/comedy), so why not have a “horrordy” (horror/comedy), or something like that.
Such is the case with a new movie now streaming on Shudder called Hell Hole.
The film stars Toby Poser, John Adams, Max Portman, Anders Hove, Olivera Perunicic, Aleksandar Trmcic, Petar Arsic, and Bruno Veljanovski.
It’s mostly in English, but also Serbian and French. When the actors speak Serbian and French (which isn’t too often), there are English subtitles.
The film was directed by John Adams and Toby Poser. It was written by Lulu Adams, John Adams and Toby Poser. Toby Poser an John Adams also appear in the film.

Here is the official movie synopsis.
In the Adams Family’s celebration of the classic creature-feature, an American-led fracking crew working deep in the Serbian wilderness find themselves at odds with government assigned environmental advisors. When they get approval to drill, the workers uncover the unimaginable: a dormant parasitic monster entombed deep in the frozen rock. Now awakened, it tears through the mining facility in search of the perfect host.
This film is what I call a “horrordy” – part horror, part comedy. It’s meant to be a fun movie to watch, not something that is going to scar you for life and make you swear off horror movies (ha ha).
This film is a good example of why people shouldn’t go around poking into the Earth. You never know what you might find.
In this film, the crew drill a hole into the Earth, and a red, bloody goo emerges. It almost looks like Earth is bleeding. Later and crew dig a hole to find something very unexpected – a French solider from a hundred (?) years ago that is still alive. But how?
What the crew unearth is a creepy crawly monster with tentacles that can go from host to host. It’s a weird look creature too. It reminds me of a sea lamprey with tentacles.

When the creature feels threatened, it will explode it’s host into a pile of slimly goo and move on to someone else.
The storyline is simple enough. Nothing too complex. The acting is decent enough.
If you like movies that are bloody, gooey, and features a lot of miscellaneous body parts, then you’ll get a kick out of this film. I don’t think it’s scary at all. Sensitive people might just cover their eyes at the bloody, messy parts.
I found it entertaining enough to hold my interest. It’s suppose to be a silly movie. It’s not looking to be compared with the likes of The Exorcist or The Shining.
You can find Hell Hole playing on Shudder.
