Miranda (Anaya) has experienced enough trauma in her young life. Between her parents divorce, mother’s remarriage and father committing suicide, it’s caused Miranda to suffer from anxiety and panic attacks.
On the way to pick up a crib for her soon to be half-brother, Miranda and her step father, Eddie (Leech), encounter a sociopath serial killer, Wade (Simmons). The encounter forces Miranda to flee into the wilderness to escape Wade.

There is no where to hide, and no one to protect her. She’s all alone with Wade just a few steps behind her.
Will Miranda find a way to escape Wade once and for all? Or will she become his latest victim? To find out, check out You Can’t Run Forever. Look for it at a theater near you, digital or On Demand.
Off the top of my head, when I think of J.K. Simmons, I think of him in the film Juno where he played a kind, caring, cool dad. That is NOT the case in this film. WOW! He is a sadistic lunatic. He plays a scary killer almost too perfectly. I will see him in an all new light now. He is one “sick puppy” in this film. WOW! He deserves another award for his portrayal of Wade in this film. Simply wow.
The young actress who played Miranda (Anaya) did a great job too, although she did more running than talking (ha ha).
There are a lot of twists and turns in this film. I wouldn’t say it’s predictable at all. This film starts off strong (it catches your attention within the first couple of minutes – literally). The ending is also fantastic too.
I do a lot of movie reviews. Some movies are a “one and done,” meaning I saw it and most likely I’ll never watch it again for a variety of reasons. Then there are films I would watch if I happen to come across it on a premium channel. As for this film, I loved it. So much so I am planning on renting it on digital so my husband can see it. I watched the film on my computer (via a free screening link). I think my husband would enjoy this film too, so I will rent it over the weekend. I will also be watching it again.
If you are looking for a fabulous movie to go see (or rent) this weekend, check out You Can’t Run Forever.
