Our 3-legged kitten.
If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know that my house is basically run by a tiny, furry board of directors. I have nine cats. Yes, you read that right – nine! I always joke that the reason I work so hard is simply to provide my cats with a better life. They are my world, and like any “pet parent,” I’m constantly on the hunt for things that can make their lives healthier, happier, and a bit more comfortable.
Our “clowder” (a term used for a group of cats) is a diverse bunch. We have cats with all sorts of personalities and quirks, but we also deal with some pretty significant health challenges. In our home, we have a cat missing a leg, one missing a tail, a sweet soul who is completely blind, and others who struggle with severe anxiety and allergies. When your family is this “perfectly imperfect,” you become very open to trying natural solutions that might bridge the gap where traditional medicine or lifestyle changes just aren’t enough.
Recently, I had the chance to test out some products from a brand called Nat Pat. You might have seen their colorful patches for humans, but they’ve expanded into the pet world with a unique delivery system for wellness.
Before I get into how they worked for my crew, let’s talk about what these actually are. Nat Pat (short for Natural Patch) specializes in using essential oils and natural ingredients infused into stickers. Instead of messy topical drops, pills (it’s not easy to “pill” at cat), or heavy-scented diffusers, Nat Pat uses aromatherapeutic technology.
The concept is pretty simple. Nat Pat stickers are infused with specific blends of essential oils that are released consistently over a period of time. For pets, these aren’t meant to be stuck directly onto their fur (thank goodness, because my cats would have a collective meltdown). Instead, you use specially designed Nat Pat Tags (lockets) that attach to your pet’s collar. You peel the sticker, place it on the tag, and the scent creates a little “bubble” of natural relief around your pet.

The brand sent me four varieties to check out:
- Flea Repellent Stickers
- Tick Repellent Stickers
- Allergy Stickers
- Zen (Anxiety) Stickers
Since my cats are strictly indoor cats, we didn’t have much of a need for the flea or tick patches. We’ve been lucky enough to keep a flea-free home, and our only run-in with ticks was years ago when our dog brought some home after a trip to the park. However, for those of you with outdoor cats or dogs who love the hiking trails, these would be a great non-toxic alternative to harsh chemical collars.
For our household, the real tests were the Allergy and Zen stickers.
First up was Wile E. He is our resident “allergy boy.” We jokingly call him “Mr. Sniffles” or “Wheezy Boy” because the poor guy always sounds congested. We have spent a small fortune at the vet between injections, medications, and specialized tests. We still haven’t quite pinned down the exact root of his allergies.

WIle E.
When he sleeps, you can hear him from across the room. He just sounds incredibly stuffy. We started using the Nat Pat Allergy stickers on a collar tag for him. To be completely honest, I didn’t see a “light switch” moment. It wasn’t like he wore it for five minutes and was suddenly cured.
However, after a few days, I noticed a change. I realized I wasn’t hearing that heavy, labored “stuffiness” as much when he was napping. I wouldn’t go as far as calling it a miracle cure, but there was a definite, noticeable improvement in his breathing. He sounded clearer. Since we can’t eliminate the source of his allergies entirely, I love that these stickers offer him a layer of relief without having to pump him full of more pharmaceuticals. It’s a “win” in my book.
Then there is Loca. Loca’s story breaks my heart a little. She used to be the most happy-go-lucky cat you’d ever meet. She had a tight-knit group of friends and even an “adoptive mom” cat she adored. Sadly, when her “mom” and one of her best friends passed away about two years ago, Loca changed.
She became cranky, wound up, and perpetually stressed. That pent-up anxiety often leads her to lash out, and unfortunately, she usually picks on our blind cat, who obviously can’t see the attack coming. It’s been a stressful dynamic for everyone.

We tried the Zen patches on her, hoping for a little bit of “chill.” Again, observing her over a week or so, she definitely seems more relaxed. She’s less grumpy, and the frequency of her “mean girl” outbursts has gone down. She just seems… happier. I’m not an animal psychologist, so I can’t give you a clinical breakdown of her brain chemistry, but as someone who lives with her every day, I can tell you what I see with my own eyes: she is calmer.
In my experience, the effectiveness of these products likely depends on the individual animal. Just like some people swear by lavender for sleep while others don’t feel a thing, pets will have different reactions.
What I appreciate most about Nat Pat is the safety and ease of use. There’s no greasy residue on their necks, no pills to hide in treats, and no chemicals that I have to worry about my other cats licking off during grooming sessions.
If you have a pet struggling with environmental irritants or “the jitters,” I think Nat Pat is absolutely worth a try. It’s a gentle, non-invasive way to support their well-being. Plus, Nat Pat isn’t just for pets. The brand also has an entire line for humans too, including sleep patches, wellness stickers, and even stuff for kids.
You can check out their full range of products at NatPat.com. Be sure to follow Nat Pat on social media to see their latest wellness releases and more.
