Have your children or grandchildren started back to school yet? Mine don’t start until next Monday. I can’t believe that summer is over.

Starting next week total chaos will occur in my home every weekday morning. Both of my kids are in the same school this year (high school) and need to get on the bus at the same time.

We only have one bathroom and the kids share the bedroom. My husband also has to get ready for work at the same time. You can’t imagine the total pandemonium that occurs here every weekend morning. Just wait until I find a job. I don’t know how the four of us will all get ready at the same time.

Often my kids are too busy trying to get ready (and fighting over who gets to use the bathroom and who gets to use the bedroom). Not only does this result in missing the bus (and me having to drive them to school) but also my kids might not have enough time to prepare breakfast and will run out the door with a granola bar or banana since they didn’t have any time to prepare anything.

Pouring a bowl of cereal is not always a bad idea for rushing-out-the-door breakfast. A lot of times my kids will pour some into a bag or small container and eat it on the bus.

Pillsbury has another option – their new Heat-N-Go Pancakes. They are mini pancakes that can go from the freezer into your tummy in a matter of minutes. You can even take them on the go – literally.

Heat N Go Mini Pancakes

I received some free product coupons to try them out myself. I was shocked to find that each package was only .75 cents (regular price!) at my local grocery store. WOW! That’s budget friendly.

I tried to find all three varieties but my local grocery store currently only has the mini blueberry pancakes. Also available are mini maple burst’n pancakes and waffles in maple madness flavor. I’m looking forward to trying all three flavors.

Each serving also provides 14g of whole grain, 0g of trans fat and no high fructose corn syrup.

The Pillsbury Heat-N-Go Pancakes were so easy to make. Simply pop them in the microwave for 45 seconds, let them sit for another 30 seconds, carefully open up the package and enjoy! You can either serve them on a plate or eat them straight from the bag they come in.

Pillsbury Heat N Go Mini Pancakes

A word to the wise, open them carefully because some steam does come out (you don’t want to burn yourself). Also, the pancakes might be stuck together when they are frozen but you can easily break them apart while still sealed in the bag. It will make them cook more evenly when they are apart.

If you are wonderful how they taste they taste great! I would think that I am a bit more discriminating then my kids. I really enjoyed them. They came out of the microwave hot and fluffy. Sometimes when you microwave things – especially things made with some kind of dough or batter – they can get hard quickly. That was not the case with the pancakes.

As for the blueberry taste – YUMMY! You could tell they were blueberry pancakes. They tasted just as good as the kind I make. They are great “as is” or you can drizzle on some maple syrup if you want.
