Finding the right pair of socks sounds like a simple task, right? But if you’re like me and live with neuropathy in both feet, you know that “simple” is rarely the reality. The wrong seam, too much compression, or a fabric that doesn’t breathe can turn a productive day into a painful one. I just can’t grab any package of socks off the store shelf. It’s not easy for me to find socks that don’t bother my feet. For that reason I have a plethora of brand new socks in my closet that I end up donating to shelters.
Recently, the team over at Ponte Studio was kind enough to send me some of their socks to test out. I know that socks don’t necessarily sound exciting to read about, but you should read on.
I’ll be honest: I’m always a little skeptical when trying new footwear because so many socks worsen my neuropathy pain. However, after spending some quality time in Pointe Studio socks, I knew I had to share my experience with you all.

Based in sunny San Diego, Pointe Studio has carved out a unique space in the fitness world by proving that performance gear doesn’t have to be boring. Originally inspired by the precision of Pilates, barre, and yoga, the brand specializes in premium grip socks designed to provide ultimate stability without sacrificing aesthetics. You do not need to be an athlete or fitness buff to use and enjoy these socks. Pointe Studio socks are great for anyone looking for quality made socks that will last a long time, unlike inexpensive socks you buy in bulk at discount department stores.
Pointe Studio is also woman owned and operated.
What sets Pointe Studio apart is their commitment to technical excellence. From COOLMAX® moisture-wicking technology to compression arch support and targeted cushioning, every pair is engineered to stay in place during your most dynamic movements. Whether you’re hitting the studio, going for a run, or – like me – looking for a comfortable solution for sensitive feet, Pointe Studio focuses on high-quality blends that offer a “barefoot feel” with the protection and grip you need to move with confidence.

First, let’s talk about the Run Club Grip Collection Ankle Socks. From the second I pulled them on, I noticed the fit. They are snug yet remarkably comfortable. Usually, “snug” is a red flag for my neuropathy, but these hit that sweet spot of targeted compression – it feels like a gentle hug for your arches rather than a vice grip.
Here is what really sets them apart for me:
- The Grip Tech: There are specific grips on the toe and heel that actually stay put. No more sliding around inside my sneakers or losing my footing on the hardwood floors at home.
- Breathability: They are moisture-wicking and highly breathable. Even after a long day, my feet felt dry, which is a massive win for skin health.
- Neuropathy-Safe: Most importantly, they didn’t trigger any of my usual foot pain. It is rare to find a performance sock that offers “no-slip” security without being overly restrictive.
Neuropathy hits people differently, so what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another. These socks work for ME, but please don’t assume that other neuropathy sufferers will have the same experience. I recommend purchasing one pair to start with and see how they work for you. I just wanted to make note of this because I don’t want to sound misleading in any way.

I also had the chance to try their “No Show” foot socks. These come with a full-foot grip on the bottom, which led to a pretty funny moment at home. My husband took one look at them and joked that they reminded him of the “safety socks” they give you as a patient in the hospital. Ha Ha. Of course those socks are meant to be tossed out and are not very fashionable (admittedly I do have a couple of pair from past hospital stays. I like the grip they offer).
While we had a good laugh, the quality is worlds apart. Pointe Studio are premium, high-quality socks with incredible stretch and durability. They don’t lose their shape after a wash, and they stay hidden in your shoes exactly like they’re supposed to.

I also need to mention the designs. Pointe Studio offers a plethora of colors and styles. I am personally obsessed with the ones featuring the smiley faces. It’s impossible not to feel a little boost of dopamine when you look down and see your socks smiling back at you.
Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast looking for a “no-slip” edge or someone searching for a sock that respects sensitive feet, I can’t recommend this brand enough. They’ve managed to marry technical performance with genuine comfort.
