Sometimes you have someone on your holiday shopping list that you simply have no clue what to buy for them. Personally, I find it difficult to shop for men, whether it’s my father, my husband or my son. I usually end up buying them gift cards, cologne, or tee shirts. That’s pretty boring if you ask me.
A lot of men, teens and boys enjoy playing and watching football. My husband certainly does. He’s a huge football fan. My son, sadly, never really got into the sport – or any sport for that matter.
If you have a guy (or girl!) in your life who enjoys playing football, or simply tossing a ball around, I have a cool gift idea for you. It’s called Passback Football.

I was sent a Passback Football to review. I have to tell you, it’s a weird looking ball. I had no idea what it was, or how to use it. It looks like a football, but missing one “end” of it. It’s like someone cut a football in half.
Passback Football is meant to be used against a surface like a wall.
To use the Passback Football, simply throw it towards the wall with the flat side hitting the wall. If done correctly, the ball comes back to you.
I don’t have a wall at home I can use, so I took the ball to work with me. I work at a school, so I have access to brick walls (the wall the kids play “wall ball” on). It took me several attempts to get the ball to work right for me, ONLY BECAUSE I wasn’t throwing it correctly. I have small hands and stubby fingers. It’s not easy for me to grip a football (even a regular one). But once I got the hang of it, the ball did come bouncing back to me. It’s actually fun to play with, even for someone like me.
Passback Football would be great for the aspiring football player in your life. They can practice throwing and receiving, all at the same time.
The kids I work with like the ball too, although would require the smaller Passback Football for their little hands (my “work kids” are K-5th graders).
Passback Football is available in three sizes – PeeWee (ages 4-8), Junior (ages 9-13) and the regular size (ages 14+).

The footballs range in price from $12.95 to $32.95 on the Passback Sports website (PassbackSports.com).
Since I cannot take photos of my “work kids,” I was unable to get photos or video of the ball in play (not the mention they had a hard time holding it due to their ages). And I certainly cannot film or photograph myself. So I found this video from Passback Sports that shows you the Passback Football in use. Check it out (below).
