I love reviewing skincare and beauty products. It’s a great way to learn about brands and products I might not otherwise get to learn about on my “non-blog life.” Often, products sent to me to review become favorites of mine, and I end up purchasing the products again and again. Some of my all time favorite beauty products were originally sent to me to review.
A while back, I had the opportunity to learn about a beauty brand from Italy called Prato Botanico.
I have never been to Italy, but my family has (my grandmother and father). My husband’s family comes from Italy. One day I hope to visit the country. It’s on my “Bucket List.”

I was sent a couple of products to try out for myself. I received to review the following.
A renewing serum that moisturizes, firms and protects the eye contour. Helps reduce visible signs of stress, fatigue and skin aging by minimizing the appearance of wrinkles, puffiness, dark circles and fine lines. This serum’s powerful triple anti-aging action is derived from an effective mix of organic plant botanicals and hyaluronic acid which work especially well on dry and sensitive skin. Botanicals include pomegranate and grape seed oil, two powerful antioxidants which provide strong protection against the signs of aging.
This product has become a part of my morning and nightly beauty routine. Every day after I wash my face I add this serum around my eyes.
First and foremost, I find this serum to be very soothing and cooling. It feels very nice on the skin. It glides on effortlessly and absorbs quickly. Simply put a little dab of it on your ring finger (the best finger to use around the eye area) and gently massage the serum around the contour of your eyes until it absorbs. It doesn’t get any easier than that.
Once this serum absorbs into your skin you don’t feel it. There is no stickiness or heaviness to your skin. You skin feels soft and hydrated.
It’s hard to say how well a product is working, usually. In this case I have noticed that my eye area doesn’t look as dull as it used to. I feel like this serum has given my eye area a more “refreshed” look.
Under my eyes look much better. My dark circles are not as prominent as they used to be. Dare I say I look like I had a good night’s sleep (even though I have a horrible time sleeping at night). My under eye area doesn’t look as saggy as it normally looks. There is still a little bit of sagging, but it’s greatly approved from how it once looked.
The “crows feet” (is that what they are called?) on the corners of my eyes look better too. I still see some fine lines, but they are not deep lines like they used to be.
Over all I do see a noticeable difference. Do I look like I’m in my 20’s – no (I wish!). I’m in my 50’s. Unless I go for plastic surgery, there is always going to be a wrinkle here and there. I’m OK with that. But if there is a way to look BETTER, I’m all for it. I think this product definitely makes my eye area look much better. I am very pleased with this product.
A hydrating lip balm that helps restore moisture, vitamins and minerals to this delicate part of the face. Infused with hyaluronic acid and olive oil, this moisturizing lip balm softens lips while helping to protect them against external agents.
The winter is harsh on my skin, especially my lips. I cannot recall a winter where my lips didn’t get dried out. .
I tend to use a popular lip balm brand (I won’t mention it here, but it’s probably the most well known), but I feel like it doesn’t always do what it’s suppose to do. I don’t think it hydrates enough. It also leaves my lips feeling “waxy.”
I’ve tried other lip balms, but I’m not fond of ones that leave my lips feeling sticky.
This lip balm is different from others I’ve tired (with the exception of the big brand one I normally use). It doesn’t leave my lips feeling sticky or waxy (thankfully). It glides on nicely and absorbs into your lips in due time.
I have been putting this on my lips every night before bed, and my lips have been great. They haven’t been dry at all.
The only reason why I don’t use this during the day is because I’m always drinking (plus eating) and I don’t want to have to keep re-applying it. Putting it on my lips before bedtime means it will stay on my lips for a long time.
This lip balm doesn’t really have a taste. It’s not a flavored lip balm.
My only “issue” is that mine doesn’t stay up when I dial it up. I think it’s just a flaw with the tube I have (I don’t see how it all of these lip balms would have the same issue). When I dial it up and apply it to my lips, the balm sinks back into the tube. I have to use two hands when applying this to make sure the balm stays up long enough so I am done with it.
