I’m not a fan of insects. I don’t want to kill them, I just don’t want them on my body or in my home.
Many years ago I was lying in bed, unable to sleep, and one of those insects with the long bodies and a lot of legs ran across my arm. I almost died!
We once had a Praying Mantis in our home too. How it got inside we’ll never know, but I am not a fan of those insects. I’m not afraid of much, but I am afraid of them. That stems back from a very old movie I saw as a kid (The Deadly Mantis, 1957). It traumatized me.
I have children (well, they are young adults now) and pets. As much as I want to protect my home from insects, my family’s health and safety is my number one priority. I rather deal with creepy crawlies then put their health at risk.
A while back I was sent some products to try out from the brand Wondercide. I have never heard of the brand before.
Wondercide products are formulated with plant based ingredients that have been proven to be powerful against pets, but safe for your family and pets.
I like that Wondercide products are sold on Chewy. If Chewy feels that they are safe for pets, then I’m okay using the products around my home.
I was sent the following products.

Flea & Tick Spray for Pets
As seen on Shark Tank. Proven to work and easy to use, this plant-powered flea-and-tick spray for pets and home kills, repels, and prevents fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. Replaces conventional flea-and-tick protection and features a fresh scent from natural essential oils. Safe for dogs and cats of all ages when used as directed.
I didn’t know this product was on Shark Tank. I’m a fan of that show.
I really didn’t have the chance to try out this product. My cats are all indoor cats and we don’t have any issues with fleas or ticks.
This does smell really nice. It doesn’t have a chemical smell at all. It’s very pleasant.
This product is available in Cedarwood, Lemongrass, Rosemary and Peppermint scents. I love that there is such a nice variety. All of these scents would be great to smell.
This product has over 5,000+ reviews and a 4.3 out of 5 stars, which is impressive.
Lemongrass Insect Repellent for Kids & Family
A plant-powered bug spray that lets you get on with enjoying your day. Insect Repellent kills, repels, and prevents ticks and mosquitoes. It’s safe for the whole family when used as directed. Fresh lemongrass scent from natural essential oils. No artificial color or fragrance. Not for sale in Montana.
My husband is a magnet for mosquitos. Even other winged things (bees and bee-like bugs). Not me. They never bother me, which is odd. I guess they know my husband is a very sweet person and they are attracted to his sweetness (ha ha).
This is another pleasant smelling product. Even my husband was happy that it didn’t have that awful chemical smell.
My husband didn’t think this product would work, but so far, so good. It’s keeping the bugs off him while we sit out on our balcony.
Fruit Fly Trap
This Fruit Fly Trap is plant-powered, proven to work, and a snap to use. Targets fruit flies and is self-contained, designed to keep little paws out and the bugs inside. Not for sale in Montana.
I don’t have an issue with fruit flies in my home, but I do at work. I buy a lot of apples and bananas, and those darn bugs always show up a day or two later.
I haven’t use this product yet, but I will be when I go back to work next month. I’ll update this post after I had a chance to try it out.
Rosemary Indoor Pest Control
Plant powered and ready to use, this indoor pest protection spray kills, repels, and prevents ants, roaches, fleas, and ticks. Also kills flies, moths, earwigs, spiders, and other household pests. Fresh rosemary scent from natural essential oil. No artificial color or fragrance. Safe around pets and family when used as directed. Not for sale in Montana.
I have used this product around my home. I spray it in areas we know bugs show up. I even sprayed it on my balcony and around the sliding glass door in hopes it helps to get the creepy crawly bugs from coming in when the sliding glass door is open.
So far the only insect we’ve seen is a lone ladybug. That’s it! That’s all any of us have noticed all summer. I don’t know if it’s the weather or this product, but I am very happy about that. Plus I feel safe using it around my pets.
It smells wonderful too!
Outdoor Pest Control
This proven-to-work Outdoor Pest Control concentrate kills, repels, and prevents mosquitoes, ants, fleas, ticks, and other bothersome bugs. Also repels roaches. Use as a refill for Wondercide’s ready-to-use sprayer or use with an applicator of your choice.
We can’t really use this product because we don’t have a yard. We only have a 6′ x 12′ balcony. The other spray mentioned above works just fine. I’m sorry that I can’t provide you with any feedback.
Skin Tonic
Wondercide Skin Tonic Spray is a powerful, multi-functional solution that provides soothing relief for dry, itchy, irritated skin, sun burns, hot spots, and other skin issues. Featuring cold-pressed neem oil and other good ingredients, this spray is safe for dogs and cats of all ages when used as directed.
I didn’t think I would have the chance to try out this product, but I did have a situation where I could try it out.
We recently adopted an older cat. He licks himself so much that he’s licked bald patches on his skin. The shelter thought it might have had a skin issue (or autoimmune issues).
I used this spray on him, but it wasn’t really worked.
I had him at the vet and I told him about this tonic. Turns out our cat suffers from severe anxiety, so topical products are not going to help him. We have to deal with his anxiety. They want to put him on Prozac for it, but we rather go a natural route. Stay tuned…
Geranium & Citronella Soap Bar
Powered by a rich lather that scrubs off whatever the day throws your way, this long-lasting soap bar will leave your skin refreshed and revitalized. Featuring oils of coconut, olive, and shea butter, this bar with citronella and geranium. For people of all ages.
I’m not really sure what this soap is used for, or is it just a regular soap to cleanse yourself with?
It smells great. I know not a lot of people like the smell of citronella (my husband doesn’t), but I think it smells really nice.
It’s a good soap. It does it’s job of cleaning you off.
I received another flea and tick spray, but I didn’t use it as mentioned earlier in this post. My family and I are not even in situations where we might encounter fleas and ticks (woods, tall grass…).
The products I did use I was pleased with. I love the scents and I think they work well. The fact that a company like Chewy sells these products makes me feel better using them around my cats.
