Do you always have your phone in your hand? Let’s face it, most people do. We go about our day with either our phone in our hand, or in a pocket. It’s just the way life is these days.
I often joke with my husband that our daughter’s phone is surgically attached to her hand. I swear she is NEVER without her phone in her hand. I have no idea how she functions at work when she can’t be on her phone (ha ha).
I normally don’t have my phone in my hand all the time, but I do have a bad habit of putting my phone down and forgetting where I put it. The same applies to my work phone. At work, I need to have the phone with me the entire time. Sometimes I need to do something and I put it down, only to forget where. I find the phone in the closet, in the cabinet, on the table… it’s crazy (and concerning that I keep forgetting where I put it).
I remedied this a while back by purchasing a phone case with an attached strap for my personal phone, but I cannot do that for my work phone since it’s not mine and I don’t own it. I also don’t want to spend my own money purchasing a phone case with a strap for my work phone. I found a better alternative that is inexpensive AND does not permanently adhere to the phone. It’s called SteadyStraps.
SteadyStraps are straps that fit your cellphone case, allowing you to safey keep your phone in your hand. It also makes you phone accessible when you need to use it.
SteadyStraps are non-adhesive and can be switched out quickly and easily any time you want.
I was sent some SteadyStraps to review.
The strap is made of some kind of a high quality elastic and they have a very strong Velcro to attach one end of the strap to the other. The Velcro is such a nice quality that I have no worries about it coming loose.
Check out this brief video to give you a better idea about what SteadyStraps are and how to use them.
This is one of those “why didn’t anyone think of this sooner” sort of thing. Where has SteadyStraps been all these year? LOL!
I like that they are not only durable, but also washable. In a day and age where we need to ensure our hands are clean and sanitized at all times, it helps to have products we can keep clean too.
You will need a cellphone case on your phone in order to use SteadyStraps.
Check out how super easy it is to “install” a SteadyStrap.
You can’t get any easier than that.
I really wanted a SteadyStrap for my work phone. I put it on as instructed, and it works exactly how it’s suppose to. The only problem is that my boss wanted me to keep the other case on the phone as well. It’s a piece that clips on to the back of the phone with an external clip on it that you can use to attach to a belt (which I don’t use). It looks similar to this one (below).
This clip piece makes it hard to use the SteadyStrap. I was so disappointed because I don’t use the belt clip function and the SteadyStrap suited my needs better.
My co-worker did find a way around it. She found a place on the clip back that we could slide the SteadyStrap through, and it worked! It doesn’t work the same way SteadyStrap is intended to be used, but it still provides me with a strap that I am able to slide on to my hand or even on to my wrist.
Since using SteadyStrap on my work phone I no longer misplace it. Plus I feel confident that I’m not going to drop it when I’m running back and forth. The phone is safe and secure in my hand.
SteadyStraps are available in a variety of colors and designs. You can swap them out any time you want a different look. Each SteadyStrap costs $10.
Here are a few examples.
There are designs for men, women and children. At only $10 each, you can purchase SteadyStraps for your entire family.
These would make great gifts too!
