I LOVE chocolate. I really, really, REALLY love it. I have a piece of chocolate usually every day. I keep an assortment on hand so I can have a piece or two every day.
I know that chocolate has a lot of fat and calories. I also need to keep my sugar intake in check. For those reasons I make sure to only have a small piece or two. I also try and eat dark chocolate (85% or higher) because it’s a healthier option compared to milk chocolate.
I also consider myself a bit of a “chocolate snob.” I prefer quality chocolates over cheap chocolates.
If you are like me and you LOVE chocolate, but you don’t like to indulge in it too often because you worry about calories, fat and sugar, then listen up! I have something that is going to get your attention.
I was sent to review some chocolates from a brand called RED Chocolate. I am always excited when I am sent chocolate to review, but I was super excited about RED Chocolate. You see… RED Chocolate has up to 50% LESS calories and 30% – 40% LESS fat than other chocolate.
If that wasn’t great enough, RED Chocolate has NO ADDED SUGAR. It’s natural sweeteners comes from plants.
The chocolate is also Keto-friendly and Weight Watchers friendly too.
Now can you see why I was super excited to try this chocolate out?
I will admit that I was a bit skeptical. How can chocolate with less fat and sugar actually taste good? I honestly was expecting it to taste like chocolate “cardboard.”
RED Chocolate sent me their dark chocolate varieties to review. They do have milk chocolate varieties as well. My review is only for the dark chocolates.
I could not wait to try the first piece of this chocolate. I was anticipating it to be very bland, but I was seriously mistaken. RED Chocolate is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! You would never know that this chocolate is made with less fat and sugar. It tastes EXACTLY like similar chocolates.
I like the bitterness of dark chocolates, and this chocolate did not disappoint. Maybe it’s because the cocoa used to make this chocolate comes from the Ivory Coast of Africa. There farmers select, roast and grind the cocoa beans to perfection. And that is no exaggeration! These chocolates are incredibly delicious.
I have given pieces of this chocolate to my family members (husband, daughter and son). Not one of them could guess there is less fat and sugar in this chocolate. They all thought it was “regular” dark chocolate.
My husband is not a fan of dark chocolate (he likes milk chocolate better) and even he thought this was “regular” dark chocolate. He was surprised when I told him that it was made with less fat, less sugar and had less calories than other dark chocolates (the same applies to the milk chocolates as well).
RED Chocolate is available in;
- 60% Extra Dark Chocolate
- Dark Chocolate with Orange and Almond
- Milk Chocolate
- Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts and Macadamia
- Milk Chocolate Pralines with a Smooth Nut Filling
- Milk Chocolate Pralines with a Coconut Nut Filling
Now I wish I had asked the brand if they could have sent a variety of flavors instead of all dark chocolate. The other flavors sound so good.
RED Chocolate is available in large bars (broken up into individual squares you can break off), and single bars (a few squares in one package).
Their squares look like faceted gems, which is a nice touch.
You can purchase RED Chocolate directly from their website, RED-Chocolate.com. They offer a flat rate shipping, which is nice. You can also purchase the chocolates from Amazon (this is NOT an affiliate link).
You can also check out the brand on Facebook (I did not find other social media accounts for the brand).
RED Chocolate has a new fan. I’ll be sure to purchase from them as soon as the chocolate I have is gone. It’s my new favorite chocolate – one that I don’t have to feel guilty about enjoying.
