I have been reading a lot about CBD lately. It seems as though overnight there are dozens (if not more) companies that make products out of CBD oil.
CBD stands for Cannabidiol oil. It is extracted from the flowers and buds of marijuana or hemp plants. Contrary to what some people might believe, it does not produce intoxication or a feeling of being “high.” That feeling is caused by the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is not present in CBD Oil.
There are claims that CBD oil helps with a variety of issues, from inflammation to sleeplessness, and from anxiety to reducing acne.
Please note that I am NOT a doctor. I do not know if these claims are accurate or not. You will have to consult with your doctor and do more research on the subject.
Lately, I have been pitched a lot of products containing CBD, everything from muscle cream to gummies. I’ve even been pitched chocolate containing CBD. Mmm… I can never pass up chocolate. LOL!
Most of the time the CBD comes in a tincture – a liquid that you drop under your tongue or add to beverages.
One of the most interesting things I have been pitched containing CBD is water. You read that right – water. It’s called CBD Living Water. Here is some additional information from the company, CBD Living, that produces the CBD Living Water.
CBD Living Water, the flagship product from global CBD manufacturer CBD Living. CBD Living Water is crisp 9+ pH alkaline water infused with 10 mg of nano-CBD per bottle, designed to help with pain relief and anxiety as well as lower body acidity.
CBD Living Water was one of the first CBD waters, and today marks the launch of a brand-new formulation, which contains double the amount of CBD as the previous water, in addition to an alkaline pH. Studies have shown links between alkaline water and elimination of environmental toxins, boosted immunity and reduced acidity in the body, which is commonly caused by poor diet, caffeinated beverages, alcohol and stress and can lead to ailments such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and acid reflux.
I was sent a few bottles of this water to try out for myself, as well as a couple of other products from CBD Living – gummies and chocolate.
I drink a lot of water throughout the day (as well as coffee). Thankfully I don’t have an issue drinking water.
The CBD Living Water tastes just like that – water. It doesn’t have any weird aftertaste or taste any different that the water I pour from our water pitcher.
Admittedly, I was concerned I’d feel “funny” or a bit “off,” so I only drank the water when I was home, just to be on the safe side. I know it doesn’t contain the THC chemical, but just on the safe side, I only drank it at home.
I have tried other CBD products in the past for my own personal use (not for review). I suffer from nephropathy, and I have difficulty sleeping. I also suffer from stress. I wanted to see if CBD helped with those issues. To date, nothing has (sad to say). For that reason, I honestly wasn’t holding out much hope for the CBD Living Water. But I was wrong.
The #1 thing I noticed when I drank the CBD Living Water (which is not necessarily what it’s used for) is that I felt more focused. I could sit here and crank out several blog posts with no issues. My focus was on the task at hand. My mind didn’t wonder. I had some kind of an awesome mental clarity that I was not expecting at all.
The only thing I can figure out is that maybe the CBD Living Water was making me feel calmer and more at ease, which helped me to keep my mind on what I was doing and not letting it race from one thought to another (which is part of the reason why I get stressed out). Normally I think of a dozen things at one time. For example, I might think of stopping by the store for cat food… then what else we need from the store… I need to get gas… the gas station is by where I get my hair cut… I need a hair cut… I need to color my hair… the kids I work with think I’m old because of my gray hair… my husband is older and his birthday is coming up… You get the idea.
Maybe the CBD Living Water made me calmer and less stressed so I was able to focus.
Whatever the reason, I loved it. I NEED this product in my life. Maybe not to drink all the time, but at least have it on hand when I have to keep on task and get things done.
The only downside to the CBD Living Water is the price. It’s not cheap. Sadly, it’s not something I could afford to stock up on. It’s around $5-$6 per bottle. If the price ever comes down, I am going to stock up on this water for sure.
In addition to the water, I was also sent a bar of CBD Chocolate. I was sent the milk chocolate bar. They also carry a dark chocolate bar.
The bar is small (about the size of a regular size Kit-Kat bar). Inside contains eight little squares of chocolate (one bar divided up into eight sections).
The CBD Chocolate bar contains:
- 120 mg full spectrum Nano-CBD extract per bar
- 15 mg CBD per segment
A serving size is one piece.
I’m a plus size lady, and I don’t really think the 15 mg of CBD was enough to make a difference. I tried with one piece and I didn’t notice a difference. The next day I tried two pieces, and still I didn’t notice anything. I never tried more than two at a time.
Unless I’m wrong, the water has LESS CBD than the chocolate (per serving). However, I drink the entire bottle of water at one time (two servings). So I would assume two pieces of the chocolate would be about the same amount of CBD.
Sadly, I didn’t notice anything with the chocolate. At least not like I did with the water.
I also tried the gummies they sent me. They look, feel and taste like regular gummies.
The serving size for the gummies is one gummy bear. Just like with the chocolate, I didn’t notice anything with taking just one gummy. When I took two gummy bears at the same time, I did notice that I felt a bit calmer. I didn’t experience the mental clarity and focus like I did with the water, but the gummies did help me to feel calmer and a bit less stressed.
Taste wise the gummies are fine. They are no different than other gummies I have had in the past. If anything they might be a wee bit less sweet, which is fine with me.
The only thing I can think of with why I had a much more positive result with the water over the other products is because maybe the water delivered the CBD to my system a lot faster than the other two products. Maybe it’s more instantaneous compared to the other two methods.
I only received one chocolate bar and one bottle of gummies. Maybe I need to try those products again to see if I notice anymore effectiveness. Maybe my mind was a bit “jaded” after using the water because I had such a positive experience to the water. That is always possible.
CBD Living carries other products, including topicals, tinctures, soap, bathbombs, pet products and more.
