I’m sure many people have heard the expression “age is just a number.” Yes, that is true. I’m “fifty-something,” but I don’t think or act my age. I’m “young at heart.” On the inside I feel more youthful, but my body tells a different story. Just trying to get out of bed in the morning is a production, and you should hear the sounds my knees make. Sigh…
One thing about aging that many people are not fond of, myself included, is losing the youthful appearance in your face. Most of us cannot afford a face lift or fillers (even if I could I probably wouldn’t do it).
For me, I look for products that help to make the wrinkles less noticeable, add moisture, plump my skin, and add brightness (among other things). I try to make sure my skin is receiving everything is needs to keep it looking (and feeling) it’s best. I wish I took better care of my skin when I was younger.
I enjoy reviewing beauty products (among other things), because it’s a great way to learn about brands and products I might not otherwise know about. Reviewing beauty products also educates me on things I didn’t know were essential to healthy skin (vitamins and minerals).
I recently had the opportunity to review a new product from the brand Rothea, specifically the Rothea Resilience Cream.
First, a little about the brand.
Rothea goes beyond skincare – “Born from love, made for you” is the heart and soul of the brand. What started as a line created for parents who prioritize their children’s needs over their own has turned into a universal product that is time-saving yet efficacious. Inspired by a mother’s love, Rothea creates skin solutions for the consumer looking to simplify their skincare routine. The brand’s first launch, the Resilience Cream, combines six scientifically proven ingredients to deliver powerful, comprehensive age-prevention benefits. Clinically tested, it visibly reduces wrinkles, retains moisture for 72 hours, and improves the appearance of melasma and pigmentation. Its fast-absorbing formula strengthens skin resilience, leaving your skin smooth, firm, and radiant—all without harsh chemicals.
Rothea Resilience Cream should be used both day and night for best results. Ideally you should use it on your neck and face, but you can also use it on your face only. Honestly, I keep forgetting about my neck. I always focus on my face. I need to do a better job thinking about my neck.
According to the brand, one jar can last two months if you use it just on your face, or one month if you use it on both your neck and your face. I have noticed that a little goes a long way, so I can see how this could last you a while.
The jar was specially created to be easy to open/close too.
The product it’s self absorbs very quickly and it does not leave your skin feeling sticky or weird. It leaves your skin feeling soft.
According to the brand, Rothea Resilience Cream can do the following;
- 14% wrinkle reduction in 4 weeks
- 10% decrease in pigmentation in 4 weeks
- 72-hour moisture retention for lasting hydration
- 3x boost in skin hydration in 2 weeks
Because your skin deserves results you can see and feel, all verified by the Korean Institute of Dermatological Sciences.
I’ve been using it for about four weeks. So far I have noticed that my skin feels soft. It doesn’t say anything about changing the texture of your skin, but I have noticed that some rough areas around my jawline are smoother. I don’t know why the skin feels rough there. I need to ask my Dermatologist the next time I see her, but it appears this product has helped to smooth the rough areas out.
This product truly does add much needed hydration to your skin. Even when I get up in the morning, before I wash my face to prepare for my morning products and make up, my skin still feels soft and hydrated. That is especially great for this time of year when the harsh cold air can really dry out your skin.
As for wrinkles, as weird as it sounds, they come and go. Sometimes the wrinkles around my eyes look smoother, other days they don’t. I think it has a lot to do with how much sleep I get.
My skin seems to have a more even appearance to. My skin can sometimes look a bit blotchy here and there (it’s worse in the summer months). I appears my skin has a more even coloring.
Rothea Resilience Cream is made with six age fighting ingredients.
I have shopped for skincare products over the year, both at “less pricey” stores like Walmart, to grocery stores and the local drug stores. Skin care products can be $$$$$ (pricey!). I find that the Rothea Resilience Cream is not as pricey, not to mention that one jar can last you up to two months.
Currently the 1.7 ounce jar is $34 on Amazon.com (you can find it here – Rothea Resilience Cream – which is a NON-affiliate link). If you break it down that would average about $17 a month. That is very affordable for a quality skincare product.
So far I am very pleased with this product.
If you would like to learn more about Rothea Resilience Cream you can visit the brand’s website at Rothea.net. You can also find the brand on Facebook and Instagram (links found on the brand’s website).
The product can be purchased both on the brand’s website, as well as on Amazon (linked above).
