Children of all ages have a love for all things that are soft and squishy. Even some grown-ups (myself included) have a fondness for soft, huggable toys. As for squishy toys, I am gradually becoming a fan of those as well.
If you stepped inside a classroom, toy aisle or playroom lately you already know that squishy toys are hugely popular. Kids go crazy for them. As someone who works with children I see it myself on a daily basis. Each day I’m learning about the new “must have” squishy and sticky toys. I don’t even see children with variations of slime anymore. I prefer squishy things over slimy things any day (unless it’s cloud or butter slime, those aren’t so bad).
Trendy toys may come and go but one things remains a constant – soft plush toys. They are a timeless toy and provide comfort for children. Some children even need them to get to sleep at night. As an adult I still love plushies. I even like to snuggle with them at night.
If you have a child, grandchild or work with children you have probably heard the term “sensory place.” Sensory play refers to an activity or object that stimulates a child’s senses (touch, sound, sight…). Engaging in sensory play is important for child development because it helps build nerve connections in the brain, supports language development, and encourages fine motor skills. In addition, tactile toys (soft, squishy…) can also provide a calming outlet for children as they try and process their feelings. This is why fidget toys are not just a passing fad. I keep a box of fidget toys at work for children who need a bit of a time out to calm down or get a hold of their emotions.
There is a wonderful brand that perfectly bridges that gap between classic comfort and modern sensory engagement. That brand is the Beverley Hills Teddy Bear Company. They are truly a one-stop shop for everything soft, huggable and delightfully squishy.

I have reviewed plush toys from the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company in the past (you can read that post here), and I am OBSESSED with them. To say they are the “world’s softest plush” is an understatement. As a lover of plus toys, the toys I reviewed from the brand are my all time favorite. They’re softness is unmatched. Not only are they velvety and silky soft, but they are also absolutely adorable too.
With a name like Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co., one might expect they only sell plush toys. There are actually several different product lines under the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co. “umbrella.” A few examples would be MushMeez, Duckees, and Squishberries to name a few. You can see all the product lines on the brand’s website (Plush.com).
Recently the brand send me a fabulous assortment of toys to try out for myself and review. They sent the following toys to me.
MushMeez
If you are not familiar with MushMeez, they are soft, squishy and slightly sticky toys often referred to as “taba” squishies, which was inspired by popular Asian tactile toys. They are gooey, glossy, soft to the touch and completely clean and mess free, even thought they have a slight stickiness to them. Trust me, I’m not a fan of sticky toys that get all over your hands, which is why I prefer things like cloud and butter slimes.
Some of the MushMeez toys are sweetly scented.

Recently MushMeez launched their mini squishes in multi-packs. Hot Dog, PB&J Sandwich, Hamburger, S’more, Cinnamon Bun and Donut. They are available in 3-packs.
I have a brief video I made that shows you some of these squishies in action. I’ll post the video a bit further down in the post.

I love how it says “Do Not Eat!” on the packaging. They do look just like yummy foods sure won’t taste as yummy.
These are perfect squishies. They are ooey, gooey and soft. I love that the layers come apart and you can re-assemble them any way you
I brought a few of these to work with me to see what my work kids thought about them. Keep in mind they are obsessed with squishies. They went CRAZY for these. They kept asking me if I could get them some. I’d love to, but it would cost me too much out of pocket to get each children in the program a package of these. Maybe down the road, but certainly not right now.
MushMeez: Sweet Friends
MushMeez reacently added a new product line – MushMeez: Sweet Friends. Each pack of Sweet Friends comes with three mini taba squishies on a stick just like dango dumplings. They remind me of that popular Asian treat Tanghulu.
I was sent a strawberry and chocolate version of this toy line. I only opened up the strawberry thus far. You can pull the strawberries off the stick and even take the green stem/leaf part off and stick it back on.

You can also see them in action in my video (below).
MushMeez Water Pets
I love, love, love this toy. It’s so cute!
We just lost our Goldfish (we had him for 16+ years), so having one of these toys is a great reminder of him.
With MushMeez Water Pets your child can take their pet on-the-go, even when traveling.

Water Pets are a pocket toy that has a clear slime-like product inside a “bag.” Also inside is a water loving creature, such as a goldfish.
You can move the water pet all over the inside of the baggie with your fingers or whole hand. As you move it the creature inside “swims” around.
I think these are great first “pets” for a young child. You don’t need to read or write to appreciate these irresistible toys. Your child can squeeze them, squash them and swoosh their “pet” around inside.
Check out my video to see one in action.

Squish Berries
Squish Berries Offer a wonderful sensory experience. Their soft, squishy and bodies offer a great and squishy fun experience. You can gently caress them to feel their tender softness on the surface or squish them to detect the satisfying sugar-maltose marshmallow-goo filling. Did I mention they are cute?

You can see in my video how soft they are.
They even went so far as to put sprinkles on top of them.

Squish Berries are great for kids that like squishies but not the stickiness of them. These squishies are covered in an adorable plush other shell. It’s the best of both world (squishy and soft).
You can also play games with Squish Berries, such as a game of catch.
Moving along to non-squishy things now.
Duckees
Duckees are cuddy 7″ bean body plush toys from the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co. They are charming plush that are shaped like a duck but designed to resemble different animals such as a bunny, cow, giraffee and butterfly (to name a few). I received the Duckees giraffe. Just look how adorable he is.

Each Duckee comes with its own special tag that shares the character’s name, favorite food, and other fun facts, making every plush feel like a new friend to get to know.
Last but certainly not least, the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co. sent me their Frody the French Bulldog plush to check out.
World’s Softest Plush
I was sent tor review the brand’s Frody the French Bulldog to review.

He’s so cute and OH-SO-SOFT! He’s my new favorite snuggle toy (sorry hubby). I’ve been cuddling up with this super adorable plus almost every night lately. It’s hard to resist. His ultra soft fur is irresistible and so inviting to not only touch is but also squeeze it. He’s 16″ plush, so he’s a bit bigger than others offered by the brand, but he’s still a great size for little hands to carry around.
Don’t get me started on just how soft this toy is. Oh! Oh! Oh! The softness is so “rich” I can’t stand it. I almost “need” to cuddle him. You MUST touch a Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co. plush to truly understand the “world’s softest plush.”
The plush line has a new critter added to their line up – their 10″ feathers style plush. There are a few designs currently available. I received the plush bird named “Feathers.”
Just look at those chubby little feet. Awww!
If you look closely you can see the he is covered in feathers, but it’s not real feathers – it’s a plush version of feathers. How unique is that. Even the feathers are made from a soft materiea.

Above is a close up of the “feathers.” They look so real but they are not. I wonder if this technology is going to be the trend with plush toys that are birds?
Both toys are great for snuggling, bedtime, nap time and collectors. They can easily sit up on their own too thanks to their “bottoms” and how they are made.
I love ALL the toys that the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co. sent to me. I’ve been having a lot of fun with them, plus seeing the plush toys always brings a smile to my face.
From soft to squishy and other goodies in between, the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co. is the way to go. To learn more visit Plush.com and StuffedAnimals.com. They both might be on social media too (they don’t have the links listed on their websites).
Let me give a HUGE shout out to KidsStuff PR and the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co. for sending me these FUN toys to try out and review.
