Are you a fan of the television show, Shark Tank? I have been watching Shark Tank for many years. I have seen many fabulous products on the show, many I have purchased too. I have also received products that appeared on the show to review.
Some products seen on Shark Tank are ingenious. Other ideas… well let’s just say they are very “odd.” I’ll give you an example – the Plufl.
The Plufl (yes, it’s spelled that way) is a super sized pet bed… for people.
When the presenters first showed the product to the sharks I thought it was totally laughable. I could never imagine sleeping in a giant pet bed. Can you imagine having a guest over to spend the night and offering them a giant pet bed to sleep in? Ha Ha.
The more I watched the presentation the more the idea actually sounded, dare I say, a GREAT idea. The bed did look super comfy. As someone who values her sleep, I appreciate a comfortable sleeping space. For the past 23 years my husband and I have slept on a sofa bed every night. Needless to say comfort is NOT something anyone says about a sofa bed. They are okay to sleep on for a night or two… but not 20+ years. The Plufl looked like a better sleeping spot that the sofa bed.
With eight (yes, 8) cats who often fight over who gets the best sleeping spots, I think they would appreciate the giant Plufl too.
That episode aired a couple of years ago (to my recollection). Fast forward to today.
I received an email from someone from the Plufl company. They wanted to introduce me to their new product – Hugl.
Hugl is HUGE. Here it is on my coffee table.
What is a Hugl you might ask. A Hugl is the ultimate cooling body pillow engineered to relieve tension and deepen sleep.
I have seen body pillows before. In fact, I owned one a while back (I’m not sure what I ended up doing with it). My old body pillow was just a large, long pillow. There was nothing special about it. The Hugl is so much more.
First of all the Hugl is shaped like a giant “U.” It’s great for people who turn from side to side (like I do). You don’t have to worry about moving the Hugl. Just roll over.

Hugl is firmer than a regular pillow. I actually sleep with plush animals (it’s a comfort thing). To me, hugging the Hugl is like hugging a teddy bear.
I love that you can even put your leg over the Hugle is you find that a more comfortable way to sleep. I find myself sleeping that way with the Hugl.
I normally sleep with two normal pillows (one a bit firmer than the other) and a small throw pillow to raise my head just a wee bit more. The Hugl acts as a regular pillow too. I find that it provides me with just enough support for my head to be comfortable all night long.

With eight cats, I appreciate that this product is washable. Not all body pillows offer that feature. Being able to wash it means that you can have it for a very long time (it won’t get gross over time like some pillows do).
As a bonus, the Hugl also turns into a back rest, similar to a “husband” back pillow. It’s easy enough to do. Simply fold the Hugl in half and snap the straps together.
It’s great to use it that way if you watch television in bed, read in bed or use your computer.
Hugl is a bit on the pricey side, but it’s a million times better than your typical body pillow.
I tend to fall asleep faster using Hugl. I feel like it’s giving me a great big hug. It’s replaced my plush animals. It not only provides me with support, but comfort too.
