How many bottles of hand sanitizer do you own? What about hand soap and disinfecting wipes?
Never in a million years would I ever think I would have (or even need) a stock pile of things like hand soap, hand sanitizer, Lysol spray, disinfecting wipes and toilet paper. Thankfully these things are easier to purchase now, but this time last year – sheesh! It was crazy to see not a single roll of toilet paper on the store shelves, and people price gouging sanitizers and disinfectants. There were plenty of scared people out there willing to shell out $100 for a single spray bottle of Lysol. That is just INSANE!
During this pandemic, I have sought out other sources for the products I need to keep my family safe and protected. It’s like “thinking outside of the box.” Most people had to the grocery stores when they need hand sanitizers or hand soaps. But where do you go if your local stores are out of the products that you need? That is why I have looked for other sources.
A while back I was fortunate to receive the following products from the brand Smart Care. Smart Care carries products for everyone in your family – from babies to seniors and everyone in between.
I received the following products (think of it as an awesome “care package”).

Smart Care has been a leader in hand sanitizers since 2015 with its Smart Care Hand Sanitizer. That is great to know.
I cannot comment on the effectiveness of the brand’s wipes and hand sanitizers, simply because I am not a doctor and scientist. I can tell you that from my personal experience, I think the products work very well.
The sanitizers are nice to use. I haven’t had any skin drying issues like I have with other sanitizers.
My “work kids” think the Marvel hand sanitizers are cool (they are all Marvel fans where I work). I like the portable size of these. I keep one in my purse and one in my car. My husband keeps the other one in his backpack that he takes to work with him.
I keep the Minion wipes in my car so I can wipe down things that I purchase on the go, such as coffee. I don’t like to sanitize my hands only to touch a coffee cup that may or may not have been touched by someone without a glove (sorry if that makes me sound like a paranoid person).
The wipes are nice to have. I miss having wipes when I did my cleaning. I would use anti-bacterial and disc infecting wipes on frequently touched surfaces such as door knobs, remotes and cabinet handles. These wipes clean well too.
I like the soaps. I especially liked the foaming hand soap (I find the foam soaps to be less messy and easier to rinse off in general). The Tropical Sunset scent was nice too (I love scented hand soaps).
It was wonderful of Smart Care to send me a sampling of their products to check out for myself. I have been very pleased with them thus far, and I would definitely purchase from them in the person. I’m actually looking forward to trying out their other scented foam soaps (their Rose & Lavender and Orange Blossom Vanilla scents sound interesting).
In addition to trying out some of Smart Care’s products, the brand also send me some great tips to share with you on how to select the right sanitizer. These are great tips that I plan on using when I need to purchase more sanitizers in the future.
- Be Sure About Alcohol Percentage
The amount of alcohol in the hand sanitizer is critically important and the most effective hand sanitizers consist of 60-85% alcohol by volume, so be sure to check the alcohol percentage before purchasing.
- Check Alcohol Type
Ethanol is proven to be more effective than isopropyl alcohol on its own against viruses. Be sure to check the type of alcohol to make sure you are purchasing the most effective hand sanitizer.
- Additional Ingredients
Check out the extra ingredients in the hand sanitizers as ingredients like Aloe, which is used in Smart Care hand sanitizers, help to smooth the skin upon application and reduce the dryness associated with alcohol.
- Proper Application is Important
In advance of application, make sure to clean all dirt and grease from your hands. Apply a small dab of hand sanitizer to the palm of one hand, then rub your hands together. Make sure the sanitizer has dried before wiping your hands.
- Select a Brand with A Proven Reputation
Lastly, with the increasing number of brands on the market make sure to select a brand that has an established reputation for delivering performance and efficacy.
