Smufts: The Lost Village, now available for home viewing and something special from Entenmann’s Little Bites

Now available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD is the newest addition to the Smufs movie franchise – Smufs: The Lost Village.

The animated feature film includes the voice talents of Demi Lovato, Mandy Patinkin, Rainn Wilson, Joe Manganiello, Julia Roberts, Ellie Kemper, Ariel Winter, Meghan Trainor, Jeff Dunham and Gabriel Inlesias, so name a few. Even film director, screenwriter, voice actor, published children’s book author/illustrator, and non-fiction author Kelly Asbury lends his voice in this film. I met Kelly when he directed Gnomeo & Juliet.

This is a very impressive list of Hollywood A-Listers. It looks like there are a lot of Smurfs fans.

The previous Smurfs movies have been a combination of CGI and live action. In this new film it’s entirely animated (no live action characters). To be honest, I prefer the Smurfs to be fully animated. That is how I grew up watching them.

If yo are a fan of the Smurfs you know that Smurfette is not really a smurf. She was created by the evil Gargamel out of a clump of clay to help him capture the smurfs magical powers. It was Papa Smurf that turned Smurfette into a real live smurf.

Smurfette doesn’t like being the only female smurf. She wishes there were more like her.

One day Smurfette sees what she believes to be another smurf living outside of the walls of the Smurf Village. Curious, Smurfette goes to investigate. She finds an interesting hat that looks similar to a smurf hat. She is also captured by Gargamel. Gargamel also takes the hat from Smurfette. He knows that the hat could mean another group of smurfs, and he wants to capture them if he can find them.

Thankfully her friends Hefty, Brainy, and Clumsy are able to free her and they escape back to their village.

Papa Smurf is upset with all of them for leaving the safety of their village. Undeterred, Smurfette heads out to find the other Smurf village, bringing Hefty, Brainy and Clumsy with her. They are not alone on their quest. Gargamel is hot on their trail.

When Papa Smurf finds out the group had left to locate the mysterious village, he set out along with a few other Smurfs to find them. Along the way they are captured by a new group of Smurfs, who happen to be all female, and taken back to their village, Smurfy Grove. It looks like Smurfette was right all along – there were other smurfs outside of their village.

Meanwhile, Smurfette, Hefty, Brainy and Clumsy are unaware the Papa Smurf and the others are in the village they are searching for. They also don’t realize that Gargamel is right behind them, ready to capture all the smurfs he can for his evil doings.

Will Smurfette and her group be able to find Papa Smurf and Smurfy Grove before Gargamel does? How will Smurfette react to seeing other female Smurfs? To find out you need to pick up, or download, a copy of Smurfs: The Lost Village. Please visit www.SmurfsMovie.com for more information.

As I mentioned earlier in this post, I prefer an all animated version of the Smurfs. I liked this film a lot more than it’s predecessors.  Although this film is geared more towards children, as an adult, I still enjoyed it. Sometimes you just want to watch a fun film where you don’t have to think about things (nothing too “deep”). This is one of those films. It’s just a fun movie. Even my hard to impress teenage son thought it was “cute.”

The film is a bit corny when it comes to the humor, but it was meant for children more so than adult. None the less I didn’t find the film too silly.

There was enough action going on, as well as an interesting story line, to keep our interest the entire time. I don’t feel like there was any slow times. The film went along at a great pace.

I also enjoyed Meghan Trainor’s song for the film, “I’m a Lady.” It’s very “catchy.”

The animation in this film is beautifully done. It’s very colorful and really brings the Smurfs to life.

There are a lot of bonus features that come with this film, almost too many to mention. My personal favorites are learning to draw the various smurfs (the artist makes it look so easy but mine didn’t turn out any where near the original), Meghan Trainor’s music video “I”m a Lady,” and the featurette about the making of the film.

I love that the Smurfs are being brought to a whole new generation. I love seeing Smurf related merchandise in stores. In fact, Entenmann’s Little Bites have specially marked packages of Blueberry Muffins featuring the adorable little blue characters.

The moist and yummy muffins are made with real blueberries and contain NO high fructose corn syrup. They are also certified Kosher. Each individual package of mini-muffins is only 180 calories.

I LOVE blueberry muffins. They are my favorite kind of muffins. I enjoy picking one up at a treat whenever I go to the bakery. The Little Bites Blueberry Muffins don’t disappoint. They are very flavorful. In fact, I am tempted to open up more than one package of them (they are THAT good).

Entenmann’s Little Bites did provided you with coupons for Little Bites as well as a gift card to purchase more products so that I could provide my readers with my thoughts about the product. To be honest, my family enjoys Entenmann’s Little Bites regularly. They are a staple in our pantry. My kids love them, my husband loves them and I love them. They are an enjoyable, go-to snack.

I love that they are individually packaged because I could easily eat a dozen of these delicious little muffins. Their packing also makes them great for on-the-go snacking or as a sweet treat you can toss in your lunch bag.

As a fun added bonus, from now through August 8, 2017, with the purchase of any three five-count Entenmann’s Little Bites packages including Smurf Blueberry Muffins, you will have the opportunity to receive a FREE Smurfs draw-string bag.

In addition, the mail-in redemption will also enter consumers in a sweepstakes for the chance to win a family cruise with Costa Cruises. Oh! That sounds WONDERFUL! I would love to win a family cruise. It’s on my “Bucket List” to go on a cruise.
