Have you ever been to a spa, or had a spa-like experience? I never have. It’s one of the many things on my personal “Bucket List.” I want to experience the pampering and amazing treatments first hand. Oh, just thinking about it makes me excited to visit a spa one day.
Sadly, I currently cannot afford such a luxury. Between surgical bills (my own and one of our cats), and other things, it’s simply not in the cards for me right now. Maybe, hopefully, someday.
Just because I can’t visit a spa, doesn’t mean that I cannot create my own spa-like experience at home. You can too, using these exceptional products from the brand Grace & Stella.
Grace & Stella products are vegan, cruelty-free, self-care and wonderful skin care for all.
I received the following products to review from the brand.
An innovative skincare tool equipped to boost the production of collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. For penetrating the skin in just the right way, dermarolling helps tighten the skin and can reduce acne scarring, minimize pores and diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Magic.
- Allows your favourite skincare products to penetrate more deeply into the skin.
- Creates microscopic wounds (don’t worry, it’s safe) that induce collagen and elastin production, making for healthier younger-looking skin.
- Assists in reducing hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores and sun damage.
I won’t lie, I was a bit “iffy” about this product. I have HEARD about microneedling, but I never thought you could do it at home. I thought it had to be done in a dermatologist’s office by the doctor or an esthetician.
I say I was “iffy” about this product because honestly, I thought it would be very painful. After all, you are rolling find needles across your face. Even though I am used to needless (injections, blood tests), they never involved my face. That is all I could think about – THOSE kinds of needles poking into my face. BUT… these are not the same needles. They are teeny tiny and barely there.
The product came in a box, as well as a case to keep it safe when not in use. It also came with a bottle of the brand’s serum.
I first tried this on the back of my hand, just to see how it felt. I didn’t feel a thing! There as no pain or discomfort at all. I just felt like I was rolling something smooth back and forth. So I moved to my face.
Before you use this, you need to wash your face, then apply 1-2 drops of the included serum to your skin. Next, use the needling tool to go all over your face, vertically and horizontally, twice per area of your face. That’s it. That is all you need to do. There was no pain, discomfort, blood… nothing!
You can follow up with your favorite serums and moisturizers.
You should stay out of the sun for 24 hours afterwards, but if you can’t, wear sunscreen! You should be wearing sunscreen anyway, but the microneedling of your skin then going out in the sun is a “no no.”
I’ve done this on a Saturday when I know I am not going out or doing anything on Sunday. That way I can stay makeup free too. That gives me 48 hours, twice the recommended amount of time.
The included serum is nice too. Your face needs a good serum, no matter what your age is. Had I known how beneficial serums could be, I would have started to use them decades ago.
I honestly cannot tell if I notice much of a difference yet or not. My skin looks “brighter” and less dull. I’m not sure if it’s due to this product, or the other Grace & Stella products I’ve been using. I can tell you that whenever I tell something I have a 26 and a 23 year old, they can’t believe it. I hope that means my skin doesn’t truly look my actual age, but perhaps younger. I’ll take whatever compliments I can get. Ha Ha.
A highly regarded facial massage practice that boosts healthy blood circulation, reducing the signs of fine lines and wrinkles by plumping up the skin tissue. To promote the production of collagen and suppleness in your skin, all while reducing pores, puffiness, dark circles and acne, you’ve come to the right place.
- Say goodbye to fine lines & wrinkles.
- Tightening saggy skin.
- Glowy, toned skin.
I have heard about cupping your body, but I didn’t know the same process can be done on your face. Cupping is often used to help with pain, blood flow, inflammation and even relaxation. The practice of cupping has been around since ancient times. I’m surprised I’m just learning now that you can apply the same practice to your face.
To use the cups from Grace & Stella, first start with a clean face. Once it’s dried, apply the included jojoba oil to your face.
This set comes with different sized “cups” (as you can see in the photo). The smaller cups are for your more defined areas like your lips, brown bone and temple. The larger cups are for larger areas such as your cheeks, jaw line and forehead. You can even do cupping on your neck using the larger cups.
To use, simply have the cup suck on to your skin, then you can GENTLEY massage your skin while the cup is still attached. It sounds peculiar, and it does look funny (the looks my husband and kids give me… ha ha), but it sort of feels really pleasant, as crazy as that sounds.
The first few times I tried it was more of a trial and error phase. Now I think I got the hang of it. I prefer to do the larger areas first, then target more defined areas.
As it is with the microneedling device, I am not sure if I see a difference or not. Again, people don’t think I look my age, and honestly, I think my skin looks a lot brighter and more full of life then it did before using these products. Prior I think my face looked really dull and drab.
I LOVE the silicone scrubby brush-like thing that comes with the cupping set. It’s so soft and gentle on your skin.
I also have a Rose Quartz Roller from Grace & Stella. I use it daily to reduce puffiness around my eyes. I also enjoy rolling around the rest of my face, as it feels so refreshing after a long, hot day at work.
I keep my roller in the fridge so that it’s extra cold when I need it.
It’s very well made too. I had another roller prior to this one from Grace & Stella and that one fell apart in a few months (the stone kept popping out of the “holder”). So far, so good with this roller. I’ve had no issues.
These are just some of the beauty product available from Grace & Stella. The brand also carries a lot of beauty products for the face, eye area and body. You can see them all on the brands website, GraceandStella.com.
