When I was a teenager, I didn’t take good care of my skin. I wouldn’t always wash my face at night before bed, and I definitely didn’t use any products. There were plenty of times I even went to bed without removing my makeup. There is no way I could do that now. The first thing I do when I get home from work is make a bee line to the bathroom to wash the makeup off my face. I like how I look in makeup, I just don’t like how it feels on my skin. I prefer to go out in the world fresh faced without any makeup on, but not to work or other occasions (if I’m only going to the grocery store I don’t need a full face of makeup).
The older I got, the more I realized that I should have taken skincare more seriously. I wish I could roll back the hands of time, but sadly that is not a possibility. All I can do is ensure I am using better for my skin products NOW.
One of my favorite things about reviewing products is learning about brands and products I might not otherwise know about.
I was recently introduced to products from the brand STĀS Skincare.
Founded by licensed esthetician and cosmetologist Stacy Wu, STĀS Skincare was born out of a sense of responsibility and a need to help her daughter with her complexion. Stacy was fed up with seeing other brands trade quality for profits, motivating her to create
Fueled by a mother’s love, Stacy developed STĀS Skincare to help her teenage daughter regain confidence after facing consistent breakouts and painful acne. Frustrated by brands prioritizing profit over quality, she collaborated with renowned Taiwanese wound healing professor, Dr. Arthur Hsia, to create a brand that harmonizes the power of nature and science to provide transformative skincare treatments that effectively deliver progress over perfection. STĀS Skincare is committed to clean, potent ingredients and avant-garde technology, offering affordable luxury that is accessible and reliable.
I was sent the following products to review.
The STĀS Face bar is more than just a cleanser. The addition of collagen, hydroxyproline, and ceramide 6 II helps to improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This revolutionary cleansing bar also contains our signature cocktail of essential amino acids and vitamins that nourish the skin, providing a healthy, youthful glow and promotes overall skin health and vitality.
This face bar contains;
- Collagen and Biotin
- Vitamins B1, 2, 3, 9, 12 and E
- Proprietary amino acid + antioxidant blend, including Glutathione and Glycine (known as the “mother of all antioxidants”
- Green tea extract to retain moisture, reduce puffiness and fight acne
I didn’t know that vitamins were essential for your face until a few years ago. I realized then that is why my mom used to take Vitamin E (I believe that was the vitamin), pop open the liquid capsule and apply it to her skin.
I specifically look for products that contain Vitamins C and E. I didn’t know your skin could benefit from other vitamins, such as B vitamins. Interesting…
I look for products with collagen too. I take biotin supplements for my hair, skin and nails, but added biotin certain won’t hurt.
If there is one thing I hate about washing my face is the feeling afterwards. My skin sometimes feels very tight. I have to apply other products immediately afterwards to get rid of that feeling. Occasionally my skin acts a bit sensitive (I don’t know why).
This cleansing bar is top notch. Not only does it do an effective job cleaning my face (including makeup), but it leaves my skin feeling soft. I have not had that tight feeling since using this cleansing bar. Not only that, I haven’t had any issues with my skin being sensitive.
A little goes a long way too. I’ve had this bar for a few weeks, and I wash my face at least twice a day, and there is so much left of it.
I love the light fragrance too. I know many people want fragrance free products, which I can understand. I find this scent very light and enjoyable.
I am very pleased with this cleaner. It cleans great, rinses off easily, and leaves my skin feeling soft. Talk about a fresh face feeling, like I mentioned at the start of this post. This cleaning bar certainly gives me that feeling literally.
The fact that I am providing my skin with extras that it needs (Vitamins, collagen, biotin…) makes this bar even better than an average cleanser.
Once you try this you won’t go back to other face cleaning methods. I don’t think I’ll use my other cleanser (gel) again.

I’ll be honest, I am not a mask person. I have tried masks over the years to review, but it’s not something I would purchase. I know that masks are very popular. Even men use masks in other countries, such as in Asia.
For me I think it’s more so because I have a hard time sitting with one on my mask for 10+ minutes. Not only do I feel goofy, but many of them tend to slip off, so I feel like I can’t do anything else while I’m using one. I prefer ones that will stay in place and let me do things around my home rather than just sit and watch the time. I know, it should be a relaxing experience, but I have a hard time relaxing.
This mask should be left on for 20-30 minutes. I used it while watching a drama series I have been engulfed in. That 30 minutes flew by because I was engrossed in what I was watching on television. The mask is not slippery either, so it stayed on.
I read on the brand’s website that you can put this in the fridge prior to use for a cooling feeling. I tried that. WOW! Did that wake me up. If you want a “pick-me-up” and you don’t want to go the caffeine route, try this mask chilled. It will definitely wake you up – but in a good way.
This is a nice mask. As I mentioned, I have reviewed many over the year but I must say this is probably one of my favorites. My skin felt exceptional after I used it. Thank goodness I used it on a Saturday when I had no other plans because there was no way I was going to put makeup on after this. My skin just felt so good.
When I looked in the mirror my skin tone looked really good too. I didn’t notice any red blotches. My skin tone looked even. My skin looked brighter, more “alive” too. It didn’t look dull and drab like it typically does.
I would liken this to a spa-like mask. I can see this being used at a fancy spa.
You can use this mask up to three times per week. If it was financially feasible I would.
I’ve only used this once (I do have another one that was sent to me). I bet with continued use (at least weekly) my skin wouldn’t look fabulous.
I am saving the other one for the day of a concert I am going to in June. I want to look the best I can that day.
