Are you a tea drinker? I am. I grew up drinking tea as a child. My mom and grandparents were from Wales, so we had “tea time” daily.
I drink both hot and ice tea. Currently I drink unsweetened ice tea daily. I find it flavorful and refreshing.
Did you know that that tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world.
Since tea contains no sodium, fat, carbonation, or sugar, and is virtually calorie free, it is the perfect beverage to serve at your next BBQ or backyard party. To top it off, there are decades’ worth of research showing that the many bioactive compounds found in tea, called flavonoids, may contribute to overall health. In addition, whether hot or iced – tea has been shown to aid in weight loss, heart health and bone health.
Here are some more facts you may not know about tea.
