Do you find it difficult to drink enough water each day? I am guilty of that. I don’t drink nearly as much water as I should – unless coffee counts? I drink 2-3 cups of coffee per day. I know, that really doesn’t count as water, even though it’s made with it.
I find water to be bland and boring. For this reason I tend to buy flavored waters and powdered flavor water mixes. The problem with those are that they often contain sugar. I need to be mindful of my sugar consumption due to being diabetic.
I do drink a lot of unsweetened ice tea.
If you have a hard time keeping your body hydrated, and you are not a fan of plain water or sugary drinks, let me introduce you to a very unique water beverage – Graasi.
Graasi.
Graasi, the first certified organic barley water in the U.S., and a clean, plant-based alternative to sugary drinks.
Crafted with organic barley, vitamins, and minerals, Graasi helps support immune function, gut health, and daily hydration — all without added sugar or artificial ingredients.
Yes, you read that right – water made out of organic barley. I was as shocked by that statement as you probably are. Not only that, how do you make water from barley? Barley is a grain, not a liquid.
Graasi not only keeps you hydrated, but it’s also very good for you.
Why Graasi?
- Organic barley water with prebiotics for gut health
- Zinc, Vitamin D, and B-complex for immunity & energy
- Gluten-free, non-GMO, plant-based, and zero added sugar
- Refreshing hydration to support an active, healthy lifestyle
I was sent some Graasi to try out for myself. I received the brand’s Cucumber Lime, Lemongrass Ginger and Citrus Mint flavors to try out for myself.
I’ll admit that I took my very first sip of Graasi with a bit of cautiousness. I was worried that it might taste “grainy,” grassy or gross. To my surprise, it did not! In fact, it tastes just like a flavored WATER. Never in a million years would I suspect this was made with barley. WOW! I was pleasantly surprised.
I wasn’t a fan of this beverage at room temperature. When it’s cold it is really good! It’s very refreshing, especially on a hot day.
I appreciate that this beverage is low in calories but “high” in health benefits.
As someone who does not like sweet beverages for the most part, I appreciate that this drink is barely sweetened. To me it tastes like someone took water and squeezed the flavors such as lemongrass, cucumber and mint it. It tastes like it was made at home, which I appreciate. It has a fresh taste, not artificial.
Out of the flavors, Cucumber Lime is my favorite, followed by the Lemongrass Ginger. I’m still on the fence about the Citrus Mint, but that is okay. Not all flavors will appeal to all people.
I also like that in addition to getting the healthy hydration my body needs, I’m also getting some of the vitamins and minerals my body needs too.
This drink is great for year round enjoyment because it’s a great source of Vitamin C and Zinc which are vital for a healthy immune system.
If you are looking for a health alternative to sugary beverages with no health benefits, check out Graasi. You might be pleasantly surprised too.
