Aging in a part of life (sadly). No matter what we do, we all eventually show signs of aging (plastic surgery can only do so much).
I’m not a fan of growing older. I know some people embrace it, but not me. I don’t feel my age (as far as my personality goes… physically I feel it). I certainly don’t want to look my age. The older I get, the more I understand that taking care of your skin at a young age will only benefit you later. Had I known then what I know now, I would have taken better care of my skin decades ago.
I am always on the look out for great beauty product that not only benefit my skin, but also make my skin look and feel good. I always welcome doing beauty product reviews because I find it’s a great way to learn about brands and products I might not otherwise learn about. Such is the case with the brand Mudita Earth. Mudita Earth is the brainchild of serial entrepreneur and scientist/researcher Jessica Chopra, whose daughter is also an integral part of the business.
During the long COVID quarantine, Chopra became less than enchanted with her skin and decided to use her background to research ingredients, and ultimately, products that would support healthier aging. She began to focus on a select group of botanicals with proven success in that area – nettle, rosemary, blueberry, papaya and pomegranate oils. Today, these clean, USA-sourced elements are at the core of Mudita Earth. “Mudita” means “finding joy in lifting others up” and “Earth” is a definite focus of the brand, with 100% recyclable packaging.
Chopra, who has also trained at the prestigious London-based Formula Botanica school is the process of obtaining COSMOS certification for her products, which include Bamboo Exfoliating Cleanser, Blueberry & Papaya Rejuvenating Serum and Pomegranate and Papaya Revitalizing Day Cream.
I was sent these products to review.
Bamboo – Exfoliating Cleanser
Effortlessly wash away dirt, oil, and impurities. We’ve combined Rose Water, Jojoba Oil, and Shea Butter to leave your skin feeling fresh, without stripping natural moisture. Added Bamboo Powder gently removes dead skin and toxins from the surface of your skin while soothing for a radiant glow. If you’ve been searching for the perfect calming, hydrating cleanser–this one is for you.
I’m not sure what is used for the exfoliating part. It has sort of a sandy grit to it (most exfoliants feel that way). When you use this product, make sure you use it gently. You don’t want it to be too abrasive on your skin.
I use an exfoliate once a day (usually in the morning in the shower). I feel like exfoliates remove all the dead skin cells and left over make up. I think it’s a great foundation (super clean skin) before applying moisturizers, serums, make up and so forth.
This goes on good (just don’t scrub too hard) and it rinses off with no issues. It left my face feeling clean and refreshed. There was no stickiness or residue.
Blueberry & Papaya – Rejuvenating Serum
Brighten and hydrate lackluster skin for a luminous, fresh glow with our lightweight face serum. Blueberry and Papaya Oil deliver powerful antioxidants for a brighter complexion that leaves skin feeling refreshed and revitalized. Tighten and firm skin with Nettle and Rosemary for a smooth, youthful complexion. Your skin will soak up the nutrient-rich Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin B5, Honey, and Squalane to go from dull to radiant with an ultra-smooth finish.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stuff! To use a slang term, this stuff if “the bomb!”
There is a lot of serum in this bottle, and you only need a few drops, so this should last a long time.
This product smells SO GOOD! I love the scent. Normally it doesn’t matter to me if something has s scent or not, but this scent is lovely. If it was a perfume, I’m buy it.
I’m always “iffy” when it comes to anything that is oil based. I don’t want it to make my skin greasy. I also don’t want it to take forever to absorb into my skin. Like many people, I’m always on the go-go-go. I don’t have time to wait around for something to sink into my skin. This serum absorbed super quick. I was very impressed.
I love how my skin feels after I use this. It feels so good.
Pomegranate & Papaya Revitalizing Day Cream
Lock in moisture for glowing, supple skin all day long. Designed to reduce wrinkles and discoloration, our day cream rejuvenates dry skin with a heavenly floral fragrance. The Rose Water base naturally balances and hydrates your skin for a smoother, brighter complexion. Pomegranate and Papaya enzymes packs in the vitamins and antioxidants your skin craves, promoting recovery of damaged skin for a more even skin tone.
This is a nice moisturizer. It does smell really nice. Not as nice as the serum (I LOVE the serum scent!), but it’s definitely a pretty scent.
This cream absorbs quickly so I don’t have to wait around to apply my make up.
I’ve used this both with and without make up. Without make up I still have a “fresh face” appearance. I’m assuming this cream might have something to do with that (along with the other products).
I’m still “on the fence” when it comes to wrinkles and discoloration. I think you’d have to use the product for a few weeks to see any results. I think it does even out my skin tone a bit. I don’t have the red blotchy spots like I normally have. I swear, every day I notice a new spot on my face, whether it’s an age spot or a red spot. Oh the joys of getting older…
Over all I like these products. I have not encountered any issues with them.
I like that they are made with natural ingredients and not some weird chemical mixture created in a lab. I also appreciate that their packaging is 100% recyclable.
Mudita Earth also gives $1.00 from each sale to charities that share our values of sustainability, uplifting women, and helping those in the greatest need.
