I love candles. Some might say that I am obsessed with them. I burn candles several times per week. Not only do I appreciate the beautiful scents that candles sent through the air, but I also find watching the flickering flame of candles very soothing and relaxing.
I enjoy candles year round, but I think I appreciate them the most during the cold, harsh winter (I am not sure why).
Since I love candles, I am more than thrilled when someone gifts me one for the holidays, or occasions such as Mother’s Day and/or my birthday. Candles to make wonderful gifts. They are made even better when there is something unique and special about them.
Let me tell you about the brand Concrete Poppy Design.
Concrete Poppy Design offers a sustainable solution for candle lover. Its soy wax candles are housed in unique ceramic vessels that elegantly transform into planters once you extinguish that last burn. The brand even provides wildflower seeds that can be used in the gorgeous candle planter.
This is a responsible way to enjoy candles ever day in your home. Their candles fit into any decor styles.
Concrete Poppy Design also offers other products such as room and linen sprays and diffuser sets. Candles are available in one wick, two wicks and four wicks. The brand even has beautiful bundles ideal for gift giving.
The brand has seasonal scents, as well as their core scents.
Cedar & Sage (Holiday Seasonal)
With the essence of an evergreen forest, Cedar & Sage brings the outdoors inside for the holiday season. An herbal blend of cooling eucalyptus, pine and rosemary mirror the crisp winter air while warmed by notes of spiced clove, ginger and earthy cedar.
Moss & Fig (Autumn Seasonal)
Step into Moss & Fig, a blend evoking the quiet calm of a foggy autumn day. Earthy sage and oakmoss emulate a misty forest, while hints of honeydew and white orris carry the freshness of crisp autumn air. Warm amber and cedar settle in, leaving behind a grounding, nature-inspired aroma.
Signature Core Four:
Amber & Absinthe: (Airy Floral) Calming
An airy and musky aroma with amber undertones that make this a year round balanced candle with a salty yet sweet finish. Smooth notes of jasmine and tonka bean come through while burning mixed with an ocean vibe of salty freshness.
Grapefruit Ginger: (Tangy Citrus) Energizing
A tangy and invigorating citrus with a hint of ginger to energize your space. With Top notes of lemon peel, orange peel, and champagne. Middle notes of grapefruit and finishes with ginger while burning.
Dry Gin Botanicals (Bright Woody) Cleansing
A refreshing blend of botanical gin and a variety of woods of aged cedarwood, juniper, patchouli, and mint. If you like an earthy yet refreshing scent, this ones is for you.
Sandalwood & Tobacco Leaf (Exotic Musk) Soothing
A dark musk aroma with a complex blend of spicy notes of ginger and peppercorn. A deep base of sandalwood and amber, and a tint of sweetness of tobacco leaves. A soothing scent for all year round.
I was sent a Cedar & Sage single wick candle to review, as well as the brand’s Amber & Absinthe room spray to review.
The candle/planter is very well made. It has some “heft” to it.
The outside of the candle/planter is very smooth with colorful “flecks” throughout. My photo does not do it justice.
The fragrance (Cedar & Sage) is lovely. It smells like what I would expect a log cabin would smell like. Or at least that is what comes to mind when I smell it. It’s not overpowering. It’s pretty, yet a bit masculine too (my adults son likes the scent).
It burns nicely (no soot). It also has a decent throw. I can’t smell it in the next room, but when I walk into the room it’s burning it I can smell it just fine.
The candle comes the cutest little jar of wildflower seeds.
What a fantastic idea. This candle is the gift that keeps on giving. You (or your recipient) get to enjoy a beautiful candle and when it’s done they get to enjoy pretty wildflowers. I love it!
I also received the room and linen spray.
For the life of me I can’t describe the scent (Amber & Absinthe). It reminds me of something, but I can’t pin point what it is that it reminds me of.
I’d say it’s a unisex scent. Originally I thought it was more masculine, but the more I smell it the prettier I think it is. It’s not floral, nor is it fruity or woodsy. I simply can’t describe it, but I do like it. A little bit goes a long way too. You do not need to spray a lot of it to smell it.

I’m not sure if the brand is on social media (sorry).
